One of the only places ever that has exceeded our expectations. We stayed for our last 3 nights in Zanzibar and wish we had longer. Promised land is just magical. Stunning, laid back jungle, beach vibes, great food and friendly staff and outstanding views over the turquoise sea, especially at sunset when you can experience drumming and singing around the firepit. The rooms were huge and comfortable and there's a resident monkey family that likes to hang out in the gym!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had in any country, resort and hotel. I am truly sad to be leaving. The manager came and picked us up himself, free airport transfer. Very safe and accommodating. The manager, Mr.Hanny is a very nice man who went above and beyond during our stay here. He made sure we were comfortable the whole time and any concerns we had, he addressed them promptly. The two beautiful hostess at the front were also so nice and accommodating. They helped us book our excursions and exchange our money. The resort was so clean and beautiful. The room was beautifully set up, very clean bathroom and comfortable beds. The restaurant on the beach was amazing. The chef Amr is the kindest man I have ever met and he makes delicious food. He is also very accommodating and goes above and beyond for every meal. I will truly miss him and may Allah bless him. The waiters at the restaurant also very nice people, I love them so much. During our stay we were able to visit Salaam Cave. The hotel was able to set up safe transfer and it was a beautiful experience, I would say go early before it gets busy. They also helped us set up a safe boat tour, we went swimming with dolphins at sunrise, snorkeling with fishes in the ocean, fresh caught seafood lunch at pungume island and safari tour on boat. Every thing was priced very well for a truly breathtaking experience. I have never stayed somewhere that all the staff are genuinely nice and good people. Everyone is so welcoming, I had an amazing stay here. They will treat you like family. Even the locals on the beach are so kind and friendly. I definitely would love to come back here, it’s an amazing place truly paradise. I miss Mandarin resort already.

It’s a brand new resort, true five star experience in any sense. Spread on large space so guests do not feel crowded in any way. They have a nice sandy beach about 2m from sea level as coast is like this. However you easily go for a great swim experience on the stairs they built. Swimming on the sunset light reflected on water was excellent. Water not too dip when tide not at highest, so even kids can swim there. Beach is trully private as part of the resort land, which is rare in Zanzibar. Events every evening next to beach area are good quality, either music or dance shows. Great breakfast, we loved the fresh fruits, fresh juices. Breakfast space is fabuluous.

Where do I start? First, I have to say, that I have visited some truly stunningly beautiful places like the Amalfi coast and Santorini, and Aya Beach is right up there with its breathtaking visual delight. The photos I saw before booking don't even come close! At low tide, the ocean recedes and blesses you with variations of blue, and at high tide with variations of green and lots of swimming ops! The resort's garden is lovely and green. Aya's staff from Hawa and Lewis to housekeeping and the lovely ladies in the restaurant are amazing! Foodwise, I loved the avo on toast, the poached eggs on naan bread, and the oatmeal breakfast options. I also indulged myself with a massage which took me to heaven. I was so sad to leave, but I will be back again! Hakuna Matata! *Side note* Understand that most third-world countries are struggling with power cuts and although there were some at the resort, it didn't take away from my spectacular holiday!

We have spent 10 wonderful days in this lovely resort and we have appreciated the beauty of the nature, the quiet of the place and the cozy atmosphere. The service is excellent: the staff is always ready to help and support all the needs in a very professional and kind way. Dinners is very good as well as the variety of the dishes offered every day. We definitely recommend this great resort for the best holiday in Zanzibar!

What was there not to like? Everything was perfect. We went on our honeymoon and had an amazing time. Our room was very big but confy at the same time. The pool has the right size and the sunbeds are to die for. A lot of natural shades were a big plus ( the sun is so strong that we could only be in the shades ) The bathroom is amazing.!!! The outdoor shower is great to cooldown during the day and the bathtub is perfect for a relaxing bath during the hottest hours of the day We left the room to go for breakfast and dinner. Otherwise the room has everything you need. A cofee maker, a water heater, bottles of water are given every day, fruit

Everything was beautifully set, the facilities and staff were amazing.

If you like tranquillity and peace that is the best place where to stay, no mini clubs, no noise, just you and the ocean.. Petti and Manka, the girls that will take care of you, will always be nice, smiling and willing to do everything they can to accomodate you. Food is delicious. A nice walk will get you in the village with all the life you want. But here no beach boys. The room had a balcony with sea views so couldn't ask for more

It is a very nice place directly by the ocean. You have breakfast, which is very good and varied, with a view of the sea at low tide with the mussel and crab gatherers walking around. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. The host family is extremely nice and welcoming. In the evening you can watch the sunset and listen to the waves. You can either have dinner at the hotel (both Omi and his wife are chefs) or find a restaurant close by. The beach for swimming is just a short walk away.
