One of the Best Hotels in Zanzibar! We had an amazing stay at this hotel for over a month, and it was truly one of the best in terms of quality service. The staff was incredibly attentive and always ready to help, making our experience even more enjoyable. This hotel is a paradise on earth - both hotel and sea are beautiful. The pool is deep and refreshing, the food is amazing in the restaurant - I would recommend Prawn Curry. :) Hotel management is very helpful and helped us with transfers and other questions. Kudos to Anna - she made us feel welcome and pampered. Pingwe beach is gem - it is beautiful both high and low tide - and you can swim here also in low tide - just walk to white sand lagoons and enjoy crystal clear sand. When I would return to Zanzibar - this hotel would be the place to return.

The hotel is nice, the food was delicious (there was a grill night I really loved that) the staff was friendly and they always payed attention to us to enjoy our stay. However I dont like the beach, there was a lot of algae and there is nothing you can do, no shops, only 1-2 hotels in the beach but they are building lot of hotels right now along the beach. But this is not depends on the hotel! Last day we found a sandbank near the mangroves walking south. do not miss that!

I had the most incredible stay at this hidden gem in Zanzibar! This beautiful hacienda style hotel is truly enchanting, with charming design details that are rarely found nowadays. Very spacious apartment, super clean with all comforts. Power outlets everywhere, very good internet. And of course a perfect view! Staff is very helpful and friendly all time. The owners are mostly on site, which is great as all questions can be addressed directly. Joop is helping with everything, organisation of tours, medical help, taxi etc. During my stay of 16 days I experienced a perfect holiday in a very familiar environment. I will definitely come back! The pool! The staff were super attentive, shout outs to Secy, Glori, Adam, Said, Saidati, Jafet, Nyanza, Ali, hassan, Aikaeli, merry, zakayo. You all made us feel at home! The food is superb, from breakfast to dinner. They had really cold beers and nice wine too.

After the safari adventure, we spent four unforgettable days at Zawadi Hotel in Zanzibar this September. Without a doubt, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at, and it deserves every bit of praise. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the property. The entire area feels like a slice of paradise, with lush, manicured gardens and vibrant flowers creating a tranquil oasis. Every detail is carefully attended to, making the surroundings feel magical. The villas were absolutely spotless and beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The highlight of our stay, however, was the food. Every meal was served à la carte, and each dish was excellent—imaginative, delicious, and prepared with great care. Dining at Zawadi was a true culinary delight. The staff at Zawadi set a new standard for hospitality. From the warm and welcoming reception team, especially the lovely Noura, to the attentive F&B staff and even the gardeners, everyone we encountered was genuinely kind and went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. One of the most memorable experiences was the guided tour through the gardens, which was both informative and enjoyable (feeding the donkey was almosts as exciting as safari!). We also loved the little touches, like sundowners served in our villa and the creative gin and tonic menu. Zawadi Hotel is a place we will never forget. It’s more than a hotel—it’s an experience. We’re already dreaming of returning and cannot recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, Zawadi is the place to be.
