We stayed a day, but if we had time, we would stay a few more days! All the staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy. The view of the beach from the terrace is amazing! The Rock Restaurant is within walking distance. I recommend it to those who want a quiet rest.

Wonderful hotel right on the beach front. We were lucky to get room 7 which in my opinion has the best view (though very similar for all rooms). The beach is literally right there for us to jump in anytime! Just stunning how beautiful and close to nature it is. We stayed two nights and never got out of the “compound “ even though it’s small, because we spent quite some time at the beach or pool, and one late morning spent 3 hours walking over a kilometer out at low tide to see all the wonderful sea creatures. I like how the hotel fenced off the swimming pool and sunbed areas and it is slightly elevated so you don’t get disturbed by the beach boys as much as if you stay in some other beaches / hotels that are more exposed or more public. The hotel food was slightly on the smaller portion side but enough for us and is high quality. It is mostly Italian food but we went to the hotel next door one time for something slightly different. A small precaution for people is don’t swim at low tide! We learned the hard way and my husband hurt himself being scratched by the coral reef. But the staff (and the restaurant chef I think?) were super helpful and got us disinfectant and bandage and stuff to fix it (he was bleeding and it did look worrisome)

Being right on the beach our room had the best views. Waking up to that was bliss. The service was excellent we felt like part of the family - not guests. The hotel organised everything we didn't have to think about what to do. Located on the quite side of the island.

For anyone reading and wondering what the catch is, there is not a single one. It is right beside The Rock restaurant. Carol is such a kind and caring host and a seasoned traveller that doesn't want to charge an extortionate amount for people to stay. I was so impressed with this house. Nothing short of exceptional. This was our favorite hotel during our trip to Zanzibar (we stayed in four different places around the island). The resort is set right on the sand, with comfortable rooms equipped with a small fridge. The pool is lovely, and the staff are kind and attentive. We loved the peaceful beach, perfect for walks at low tide and the unforgettable sunsets every evening. In the evenings, we also enjoyed the warm atmosphere of the neighboring bar with its cozy fire and vibe. Excellent value for money overall! Absolutely recommend!
