Wonderful, kind and amazing staff, extremely polite and helpful; massage ladies were awesome, beautiful pool and rooms that were extremely comfortable and clean. Great food variety. Kitchen staff woke up early to make up breakfast so we could catch our flights. Good beach. The perfect quiet and private getaway in a beautiful location. Family friendly. Would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a small sized high-quality 5 star hotel. Would definitely go back again.

Tulia was an absolute beauty- luxurious. The staff service was top, the details on the building, the place is soo serene. I can’t praise it enough… it was calming. Michaelle treats you like you are her only guest- with much care and attention. They do fine dining so there is two options to pick on for main course each day- which might be limiting for some. It was not the case for us. We loved Tulia and hope to be back again next time in Zanzibar!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Pongwe Beach Hotel. Our room was amazing, with our own pool for a dip in the mornings, as well as a lovely pool. The size of the resort meant we never felt crowded at the pool or dinner facilities. The menu was amazing, dinner options changed daily and everything was ordered was delicious with fantastic, fresh produce.

Everything about this establishment is truly remarkable, from the owner, management, and security personnel to the talented chef. We had a wonderful stay and can genuinely recommend this place. Mohamed and the whole staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful from the first moment until we left. They were always available, quick to assist with anything we needed, and made us feel truly taken care of. The bungalow we stayed in was beautiful and very comfortable — clean, spacious, and perfectly located. Waking up to the ocean view and enjoying the peaceful surroundings was a highlight of our trip. The terrace area was great for relaxing, and everything had that calm, authentic beach vibe that makes you instantly switch off and rest. Overall, an amazing experience with great hospitality. Thank you, Mohamed, and thank you to the entire team — we would happily come back!
