AustraliaThe property is within walking distance of the Rhode Island Avenue Metra Station for access to the city centre, and with on-street parking right outside the property. The property is in a nice safe neighbourhood with well maintained homes.
It's a short distance to nearby eating out options around the station and elsewhere if required but the fully equipped kitchen allows you to cook and a supermarket is a short drive away for supplies.
The hosts are responsive communicators and there are detailed instructions for operating appliances and other property functions.
As a basement property, it is a little tight for four adults and ceiling height low in places, but it has been designed to make excellent use of the available space, including a full laundry in the bathroom. The two queen beds in the bedrooms are comfortable and the fold-out sofa bed adequate but might benefit from a mattress topper if used by an adult.
This property was an excellent base for our brief two night family stay of four adults in Washington and I would recommend it to any travellers seeking a homely alternative to a hotel and who want access to the Metra instead of driving in traffic, which can get very busy heading into central DC.
