I would definitely recommend this place for longer stays, it's quieter than in the Velipoje center, and the beach is less crowded :). There are markets in a 5 min walk and restaurants (but you probably will have to pay by cash). We arrived by taxi from Tirana airport which was a very good prize. We had a wonderful time and will probably come back next year. There is no better place to stay in this area :).

I booked Vila Sela as the reviews were fabulous. The views from the property are outstanding over Lake Shkoder. It wasn't until later that I realised we were not in Shkoder town, but a few km.out in Shiroke! I couldn't believe how lucky we were to end up here instead of the crazy busy congested town of Shkoder. Shiroke is like Lake Como without the price tag or hoards of tourists. Vila Sela is brand new and very modern and spotlessly clean. They have included everything in the hotel style room. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. Every room has an amazing view over the lake and Albanian Alps. Highly recommend staying in Shiroke instead of Shkoder which is a short drive away.

The property is non-smoking and is located 49 km from Port of Bar. Its a nice cabin and it is very extensive. The location is great. You will find a very nice boulevard just at the street with nice restaurants. The atmosfeer is very relaxt. Just crossing the street are several boattours. And very closeby are kayak and sups for rent. Also the sunset is amazing on this side of the lake. We didn’t follow the route further in direction of montenegro. But in 1 or 2 km you will find some modern restaurent nicely located on the hill viewing the lake. Skhodër is 15min and castle rozafa is 10m drive away. Parking can be done closeby or at the place itself but with some drivingskills.
