Everything was constantly kept clean and tidy. Rooms were in great shape with modern equipment, comfortable and warm. The kitchen is spacious and provides plenty of everything for cooking and food storage. There is also a coffee machine and free tea. Best of all is the host who was super friendly and helpful. He provided us with great recommendations for daily trips around the island, what to visit, how to get there, popular highlights and germs off the beaten track. His effort was just amazing. We enjoyed our stay here very much. During 8 months of travels this was one of the best hostels we stayed at, and we would come back to the place at any time.

I want to thank Pamela for the hospitality, my friends and I felt like at home. Pamela is kind, interesting in communication person, she recommended us a really delicious place to have dinner in the city (I recommend you ask too!). After visiting the oceanfront park, we returned for another night. The room is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the shower is excellent, there is plenty of space on the veranda to enjoy the view of the bay and the city. Basic but excellent breakfast, fast internet. And if you love cats and dogs, you will definitely like this place. It's not a problem at all that the house is far from the city center — public transport runs often and is cheap. I recommend this place with all my heart! That's what we needed to rest between hiking and moving between cities.

Cute cabin with a wood stove for heating. The wood stove worked very well and wood was restocked in the cabin each day. Beds are super cozy with lots of blankets to keep you warm. Great views of the bay. Enjoyed viewing the birds and the bay upon waking each morning. Great hot water shower without waiting for water to heat up. Need a car to get to this location but it is only a short drive to Castro. Nice and quiet area. Would have stayed here longer had my itinerary allowed.

There is a wonderful view. You can walk down to the water. The cabana is comfortable. We love seeing the rising sun and rising moon that reflects off the water.

Featuring ocean views Hostal Vista al Mar hct is located in Ancud only 500 metres away from the city centre and steps away from the Bus Terminal Cruz del Sur. We loved the hostal. At first you find it a bit "tired", but soon you´ll see it is a very cozy place to stay. Very nice staff. We 3 people stayed at the big apartment with 3 rooms. Our bed was very comfortable. We also had a mini kitchen and a sight on the Pacific Ocean. Tha bathroom was ok. The higlight was the breakfast with warm bread and great local products, marmalades, butter, good coffe. It was worth the reasonable price we payed. A must.
