A Soulful Stay at Cabañas Iracas Del Mar Tucked along the serene shores of Nuquí, Cabañas Iracas del Mar offered us a retreat that felt both restful and idyllic. From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

The food overall was delicious—every dish exceeded our expectations. Maya and Andrés were incredibly kind and helpful; they assisted us every step of the way. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is fantastic—warm and welcoming. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

The place is very nice, the staff is super friendly and attentive, everything is clean and modern, high quality beds, linings,etc. The beach is awesome, it's near playa cuevita and Utria, food is available on premises and they always help with transportation to and from town as well as with setting up tours.

Willie and his family were great to stay with! He had great insight on the area and things to do. Places to see. Breakfast was great in the mornings as we hung out on the balcony. Loved the hammock!! Wifi was great as long as the power was on. It’s in a rural quieter part of capurgana. You definitely get the authentic Colombian experience. We enjoyed are week stay:) I’m gonna miss it and look forward to a return visit:)

Adrian spoke some English which was very helpful, as I don't speak much Spanish. This is rare in the region, and I was happy we could communicate better. The food was very tasty and the prices adequate. Local pets were cute and my stay was comfortable. I am a biologist and the town offers a great path into the rainforest to watch toucans, manakins, frogs etc. I could imagine spending a week here, the room had a lot of books (44 i believe) in eng and esp.

Staff are so lovely 10/10. They made us breakfast really early due to our boat. Very hospitable. Lemonade on arrival was a bonus. Clean room, lots of space. Bed was comfortable. Out door shower was really nice!

Amazing hostel, probably my favourite one I've stayed at while being in colombia, I extended my stay. Juan charlos is really kind and eager to help. He helped me with my Spanish also. The rooms are cleaned daily, fresh sheets and towels! Super traquillo vibes with a big yard and amazing breakfast. Gracias por todo!!
