The staff provided us with contacts for transportation into Santa Marta and Rodadero. We never mentioned it was my wife's birthday to the staff, but on the morning of her birthday they came out with a cake and sang happy birthday to her. Can't recommend the hotel enough if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away too for a vacation.

The use of the swimming pool after a hot day was refreshing. The staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast meals were delicious. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and luggage storage space for guests. The owner/manager Justin was so lovely, answered all of our questions and gave some great tips for the local area. He was also so lovely in all interactions with the other staff, it was just a super comfortable and homely hostel. So many little spots to sit and enjoy a cool breeze, our favourite was the hammock! The hostel was about 10 mins away from the bustling tourist area which made sleeping easier as it was pretty quiet. The breakfast was amazing, eggs + toast + cheese + fruit + coffee! Honestly would happily go back to Santa Marta just to stay in this hostel!
