We were mostly served by Ruth and Kevin and they were incredible. It’s evident that everyone cares about their job and the experience of their visitors. We spent one night in a cabin and another in a hammock; both experiences were lovely and memorable. We took a moto taxi from Calabazo to the point where the descent starts and hiked down the mountain in 1h30min. This hike and place set us off onto a trip we will never forget.

Located 100 metres from the beach, Hotel Irotama Lago offers on-site marine activities, 3 outdoor swimming pools and a spa and fitness centre. WiFi is available. Activities for children are organised. There are complimentary airport-pick ups. Everything was nearly 100%, the staff members from reception, cleaners bar members and entertainment were very friendly, the food was limited but nice, really nice private location, rooms were super clean and spacious. Amazing views.

The staff provided us with contacts for transportation into Santa Marta and Rodadero. We never mentioned it was my wife's birthday to the staff, but on the morning of her birthday they came out with a cake and sang happy birthday to her. Can't recommend the hotel enough if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to get away too for a vacation.
