I would definitely come again to spend some relaxing days at Raya in Matapalo! The location is just perfect, everything in walking distance 7‘ to the beach, 5‘ to famous and awesome Matapalo Supper Club Restaurant, another restaurant and the supermarket. 20‘ to the bus stop. And on the other side of the road: Angelo who takes you on trips with his lovely horses.

The apartment was new and well equipped. They also clean the pool every morning. It is also a walkable distance from the town and beach.

Staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay (even though we were only there for one night- unfortunately!) the environment was just wonderful, it felt truly tranquil and emersed amongst the jungle. We had dinner and breakfast on- site which were both excellent. Highly recommend riverside villas.

Fantastic property, host and location. Right on the edge of the beach, restaurants and in the rainforest. You are surrounded by macaws, parakeets and all of Costa Rica’s wildlife. Lots to do in the area. Property was comfortable and expertly maintained, it had everything we needed in the kitchen area, bed was comfy and the whole apartment was spacious. Secure and accessible parking on site. We would / will definitely return and recommend, and could easily have stayed longer.
