The place itself is very charming and centrally located, making it easy to reach both the city center and the port. Breakfast was also good. Overall, we were very, very happy with our stay. The place was exquisitely decorated and had lovely spaces outdoors for enjoying a morning tea or an evening swim. The staff were exceptional, especially Leena. I was asked if I needed any laundry washed and had this service provided free of charge. There is also a great little kitchen area for meal preparation if you are staying in a room that is not the deluxe apartment. Close proximity to everything you need in the downtown region: local market, restaurants, bakery, coffee. Could not recommend more. I will absolutely return.

Staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and Patricia was wonderful to speak with and learn about her life. Spacious room in a perfect location to be able to walk to everything in Mindelo. Patricia helped me organize a day trip to Santo Antão, a true highlight, as well as an airport taxi.

I loved everything about the accommodations from the location, the space, the breakfast and the comfort. But the thing I liked the most was the hospitality of the owners. Celestina and Carlos went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I would not hesitate to return.

Offering a terrace and views of the sea, Maderal is set in Mindelo in the Sao Vicente Region. Free private parking is available on site. Some rooms feature a seating area where you can relax. Very clean place with comfortable bed. Location is in a quiet area, about 20 mins walking distance from the ferry and 10 mins to the center. Filomena, the owner, is amazing!! We were only there for one night before our ferry to Santo Antão but when we went back to Sao Vicente she let us leave our luggage there while we explored the city and then let us take a shower!! Highly recommend!
