We had the most incredible stay at Mai Sunset Island Resort in Fiji, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel like family. The resort is a true paradise, nestled on a pristine beach with swaying palms and crystal-clear waters that seem to glow at sunset—hence the name, and it absolutely lives up to it! Our bure was a perfect blend of traditional Fijian charm and modern comfort, with a cozy bed, stunning ocean views, and an outdoor shower that felt like a little slice of luxury under the stars. The food was a highlight—fresh, local ingredients crafted into delicious meals, with the coconut ice cream being an unforgettable treat. The compulsory meal plan was worth every penny, offering a variety of dishes that showcased Fijian flavors. The activities were endless and so much fun—snorkeling over vibrant reefs, kayaking along the shore, trips to the local village or just lazy stroll along the beach. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every experience was seamless, always with a smile(thank you Male, Nivi, Ave, Vinie, Rauga). What truly sets Mai Sunset apart is its serene, intimate vibe. It’s not overcrowded, so you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. The connection to Fijian culture was also special—learning about local traditions and seeing the care put into every detail made the stay meaningful. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and create memories that last a lifetime, Mai Sunset Island Resort is pure perfection. I’m already dreaming of my next visit!

Our stay at Wayalailai was absolutely incredible. without a doubt, the best place I’ve stayed in Fiji. What makes it truly special is its authenticity: everyone running the place is 100% from the island, which gives you a real chance to experience the local culture up close. The activities you can do there are the best. From incredible divings with bull sharks to beautiful hikes. On top of that, the warmth and hospitality of the people made me feel at home from the very first moment. Food is very good to. I don't usually post reviews but this one was worth it.

Oarsmans Bay Lodge offers accommodation in Nacula Island an adult-only resort, for 18 years and above. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant and bar. The location is paradise on Earth, with a beautiful bay full of light blue and turquoise colors, white sand, a clean sea, palm trees, like in the posters we put on the wall, where we want to go. The bay in front of the resort is good for swimming without corals and rocks, and you don't need water shoes. Corals are very close by, so you can go diving and snorkeling as well. I stayed in a hostel, because I wanted to stay longer and not pay too much for accommodation. The dorm is actually a very spacious room, divided by partial walls into small 'bedrooms'. You have enough space for luggage and a wonderful view of the bay each morning. It is clean and well-ventilated. The resort is aesthetically decorated in a natural manner, and there is always nice, not too loud Fijian music in the background. You can see in the garden very interesting sculptures made from coconut shells and wood. Gardeners are real artists. There are some activities, like swimming in caves, learning about local medicine plants, weaving palm tree baskets, and a visit to a local village. There is a small concert with a cava ceremony on Sundays. All activities are done by staff from the resort. Those are multi-talented people with a great hospitality attitude. Food is good and healthy. They have a cute doggie, Rosie, and a friendly cat, Chrissy. The main management staff give them food to eat and cleans them of parasites. They also have goats right behind the resort, and you can go to see them, too. Everyone is nice and approachable. Even though this is a tourism resort, and of course, money is important, in the Oarsman, somehow, you feel they take care of the well-being of guests, and you feel a personal connection with the staff. You see them, they see you, so you have some feelings about authentic Fijian people, and that they have good care about you. As a solo female traveler in a foreign land and a distant island, I felt safe.

Set within a tropical garden of coconut palms and surrounded by turquoise water, Coconut beach Resort directly overlooks the world famous Blue Lagoon in the Yasawa Islands. Everything was perfect! The staff is adorable, caring and available for any request. Philip is one of the best staff we met in our travel lifetime: energetic, dynamic, smiling, caring. All the staff was so nice and caring! Only 10-15 rooms, the beach is magnificent, the meals are delicious and fresh and the activities are great! I really recommend this place!

Surrounded by a garden landscape, this property offers a day spa, an outdoor pool and a restaurant.... Literally paradise on earth. If you like sandy white beaches, turquoise water, amazing food and, above all, friendly staff, then this is the place for you. The bungalows are clean and cozy, with both fan and air con. The food was fantastic, with a vast selection (also vegetarian friendly) and of high quality. The Japanese restaurant was one of the best dining experiences we've ever enjoyed. Lots of activities to choose from, many of them are even free of charge Our personal highlight were the Kava & singing sessions in the evening, thank you to everyone for making our short stay a memorable one!! Also really appreciate the sustainability efforts, e.g. refillable water, paper straws.

Nestled on a stunning white sandy beach in the heart of the Yaskawa Islands, Blue Lagoon Beach Resort offers the perfect island escape with beachfront dining, a vibrant bar, and a unique Japanese... The staff were all so friendly and amazing. The property is beautiful. The reef out front has excellent snorkeling with so many fish and healthy corals. The food at both restaurants was delicious and varied. The scuba shop was helpful. I also had a massage and that was great as well.

Amazing people, beautiful setting, excellent service, wonderful food ( and yes the portions were more than enough), friendly atmosphere,...

Navutu Stars Resort is the only boutique resort on the secluded island of Yaqeta, with just 9 beachfront bungalows spread along 3 pristine white-sand beaches. Personal attention and care of amazing staff from the point you get off the boat to the point you leave the resort. Boutique resort with only a few guests at any point. We actually were even alone on the resort for a couple of nights which felt special. Facing calm waters even during sea storms, beautiful reefs within minutes of a boat ride. Very nice burres with panoramic glass doors which we kept open to allow the breeze during the day. Fine cuisine with local ingredients and freshly caught fish.

Mereia is an amazing cook, the food was plentiful and very yummy. The paid activities organized by Jolame are great. Ori Island day tour a must. Fresh fish caught and eaten same day was awesome. Village very welcoming! If you want souvenir from island, take extra cash, ladies in village sell hand made jewelry items. Go with open mind and accept that village life is different and the Fiji way.
