Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Olive Yard is set in Gytheio in the Peloponnese Region, 50 km from Kalamata. Monemvasía is 44 km from the property. Absolutely lovely experience. Staff were friendly and hospitable. The room had amazing views of the surrounding landscape, perfect for sunrise and balcony breakfast - our favorite part. The property/hotel is very picturesque, and the room is beautifully decorated and clean. It's a great location for day trips and is very close to the largest town in the region, with numerous food options. We would go out of way to stay here again. 100% recommend.

Having travelled the Peloponnese extensively, I can say with certainty that this place is exceptional. Still at a loss as to why it is only 3 star. The hosts Georgios and Tasso are warm and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. Tassos who looks after the cooking didn’t disappoint. We even bought his homemade rose petal liqueur and strawberry jam to enjoy further down the track. If you are looking for something unique, hospitable with great views of the sea, nestled amongst olive trees, then you can’t go past this place.

The staff was very kind and made us feel home.

The location is pet-friendly, near organised campings, just a short drive to Mavrovouni and Gythio, with the beach 400 meters on foot. Perfect for a quiet holiday in nature. The hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel like one of their own, and breakfast is sufficient.

We stayed for one night at this lovely family-run pension during our Peloponnese road trip – and we honestly wished we could have stayed longer! The location is just perfect: some rooms have a direct view of the sea and within two minutes you can walk down to the beach. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The equipment is excellent yet authentic – balcony, fridge, clothes rack and Wi-Fi, everything you need. The atmosphere is calm and idyllic, ideal for relaxing and letting your mind unwind. The host family was incredibly warm and welcoming. On a hot day the kind owner even brought us ice-cold water and made sure we felt comfortable throughout our stay. In the morning we enjoyed a lovingly prepared, traditional Greek breakfast. All in all, a truly wonderful stay that we would recommend to anyone. We will definitely come back!

Really nice, very clean, well equipped apartment with amazing view! Dimitros is a great gay and the best host! Even if we were late, he waited for us and together with the boys from the restaurant (Thanks boys!), took all our luggage upstairs to the apartment where refreshing cold drinks were still waiting for us in the fridge. On our trip to the Peloponnese we stayed only 4 days in the most beautifull Mani and after all we regret we didn't stay longer. Mani is the most beautifull part of the peninsula and Dimitris contributed to our beautiful stay in this region always being remembered with a smile! We had lunch twice (with a discount) in a nice family restaurant on the ground floor and the food they served us was very tasty. Thank you Dimitros for everything and especially for the wonderful bottle of local wine that you gave us as a souvenir before leaving and which we tasted with friends in Your honor!
