We are retired and have travelled the world extensively. We know when a hotel is not up to expectations (and have walked out of a couple after just a few hours). This place was exceptional. I just reread the past comments - accept what all the good ones say at face value because they reflect our experience there. Irini was exceptional on the front desk and Elizabeth, who cleaned our room every day, was exceptional! When I read each negative review I wondered if they are referring to a different hotel. If those people were expecting a $500 a night experience they should have stayed in a $500 a night hotel - there are lots to choose from on the island. Having a rental car I found there was always a parking space to return to without having the negotiate the narrow streets of the inner town. My wife’s main criteria is a comfortable bed and a clean room and environment. Mohitero got 5/5 on both. We really enjoyed the gardens and the birds and the peace and quiet. We would have no hesitation returning. It was a nice place to come “home” to after a busy day. The pictures on Booking reflect what was saw while there.

Just steps from the beach, this family-run resort offers a peaceful location in Karterados Beach and a personalised service. Artemis and his wife are the nicest people, super welcoming and available. Absolutely recommended 🙂

Smaragdi is located on the famous black sand beach of Perivolos. Designed with timeless Cycladic elegance, its exterior and interior spaces beautifully reflect the island's charm. The location is just perfect - just 3 mins walking distance from Perivolos beach, 15 mins from Perissa beach. The staff of the hotel was so hospitable, welcoming that I was amazed, one of the best hosts I have ever had. All employees - reception, housekeeping, bar - were so helpful and doing their best to make the stay enjoyable. The room had everything described in the booking. There is a small library in the lobby which has a collection of books in several languages, including English. You can borrow any book and enjoy during sunny hours near the pool by reading a book. There is a bus stop near the hotel which you can take to go to Fira (Perissa-Fira) and from there to any location. I would like to thank all the staff - Maria and her Team for their hearty welcome and assistance. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Santorini!

Roulla Villa, situated just a short walk from Perissa Beach, offers an outdoor pool with hot tub facilities and weekly Greek theme nights. Owners are very kind and helpful especially lady from the office, knows everything about places that are worth to see, really encyclopedia of santorini :D, place is beautiful and in perfect spot, peaceful and quiet very close to beach and main road, where can jump in to bus and go everywhere, overall look is great, rooms are spacious, decorated in typical for the island you can feel the vibe

Santorini Kastelli Resort enjoys a secluded location just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach of Kamari. Room with direct access to the pool was amazing. Whole hotel is really lovely. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. We got a bottle of wine at our arrival which was very nice. Overall we have had amazing stay here which we definitely recommend!

The staff is excellent, kind, polite and willing to help at any given point. As a family with children we stayed in one bedroom apartment, spacious enough for what we needed for a great authentic Greek vacation. The checkin and checkout are smooth, the food at the accommodation is great and available anytime. The pool is extremely cozy and clean. I would come back anytime.

We had our stay in early April and have nothing but good things to say about Stella and her family. The room was clean and we used the walk out balcony with hot tub every night. Stella made a delicious breakfast each morning enough to feed a family of 5, which included Greek specialties. Stella had great suggestions for things to do in the area, places to eat, and would even help us book activities or transportation. Although not too many shops or restaurants were open for the season yet, we had an amazing experience really sharing space with the locals being able to truly experience Santorini’s culture. Although not in the main towns of Oia or Fira these places were a quick cab ride away. We highly suggest staying here if you’re looking for a beachy stay with local food options.
