We are retired and have travelled the world extensively. We know when a hotel is not up to expectations (and have walked out of a couple after just a few hours). This place was exceptional. I just reread the past comments - accept what all the good ones say at face value because they reflect our experience there. Irini was exceptional on the front desk and Elizabeth, who cleaned our room every day, was exceptional! When I read each negative review I wondered if they are referring to a different hotel. If those people were expecting a $500 a night experience they should have stayed in a $500 a night hotel - there are lots to choose from on the island. Having a rental car I found there was always a parking space to return to without having the negotiate the narrow streets of the inner town. My wife’s main criteria is a comfortable bed and a clean room and environment. Mohitero got 5/5 on both. We really enjoyed the gardens and the birds and the peace and quiet. We would have no hesitation returning. It was a nice place to come “home” to after a busy day. The pictures on Booking reflect what was saw while there.

Just steps from the beach, this family-run resort offers a peaceful location in Karterados Beach and a personalised service. The room had a sea view and location was nice and quiet. Nice restaurant just down the hill and a bus stop just a 15 minute walk away made it very convenient. Having a pool and beach access so close was amazing.

Smaragdi lies just 50 metres from the black beach of Perivolos. The Cycladic-style residence offers a large swimming pool, and a hot tub. Excellent location. walking distance from Perissa beach which is the black sand beach and one of the best beaches to swim. Hotel staff was amazing especially Magda who helped us with all the queries.

Roulla Villa, situated just a short walk from Perissa Beach, offers an outdoor pool with hot tub facilities and weekly Greek theme nights. Lovely, clean and close to Perissa beach and the bus stop. Staff were friendly, welcoming and so very helpful

Santorini Kastelli Resort enjoys a secluded location just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach of Kamari. I liked everything about this place especially the staff. Very friendly and professional.

The staff, location, cleanliness, the decor, everything was perfect, Irini on reception during the day was outstanding. The man on night duty, Andreas, was also superb. We thank them both for a great stay.

Dimitris was very kind and helpful with all we were needed. He made for us a local calls because we couldn’t call from our phone. Our villa was really beautiful and cleaned every day.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! The rooms are beautifully designed, clean, cozy and private. The location is within 5-7 minutes from the best beach on the island and there are plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Stella, the host, was super kind and helpful, having our room ready before check in time and was always available for questions or recommendations.
