To get there, you’ll need to take a small local boat that runs every five minutes for just 10Q. This adds an extra touch of charm and adventure to your stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While the WiFi is typical for Guatemala—not very strong—it’s enough for basic needs around 5-6 Mbps Overall, it’s a wonderful experience for those looking to immerse themselves in the tranquility of the lake and the warmth of local hospitality. Highly recommended!

All the food from the restaurant was delicious! The rooms were spacious. The property had many different spaces for relaxing and lounging. We loved the coffee on the patio every morning and the staff was outstanding! We hired Luis for guiding us in Tikal and he was a superb birder! My husband is a birder and he was the perfect match for us! We hired him to guide us on 2 additional trips while we were there. So glad the hotel connected us with him. Thanks so much!

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the... stayed in both the hostel dorm and in a private room and loved it, great location, helpful staff, clean & tidy, easy to get boats to Flores and back - would stay again!

This charming hotel is located in northern Guatemala’s Petén Jungle, on the shores of Lake Petén. It offers fantastic trips to the Mayan Ruins of the Tikal National Park. The whole property is so well maintained, absolutely stunning location. Staff were exceptional. Food was delicious. Extremely clean and had an amazing stay. Will definitely come back!
