The staff/owners are beyond friendly, they really try their everything to make you feel comfortable, communication workes really well. It was one of my nicest stays in Guatemala, if I'm ever back in the area I'll definitely stay here again!

I loved the location of the accommodation, it’s a 5min walk from the main area with the bars, restaurants, etc but there are so many restaurants close by as well! And it was really quiet at night and in the evenings which was great to chill and relax! Julio and his family are so so friendly! We got a nice breakfast every morning and sat with him and talked about a lot of things and he was very helpful with giving advice and tips on what to do. Ask him about booking trips and activities since it was cheaper than online! The dorm room was simple but you had everything you needed and there is a plug at every bed which was amazing. It really was more like a homestead than a hostel/hotel which was really really nice and comforting and made everyone feel like at home!

Nicolas is really nice and he carried my bag for me along the short and lovely walk to the house. I felt that I could reach out if I needed anything and that is always important. Thank you!

The cabin is located right on the bank of the lake, offering a stunning view once you leave the compound (there is a fence there for security reasons!) and the inside is cute and cosy. The kitchen equipment is slightly limited but was good enough for some tacos in front of the lake. The staff were very friendly and patient (I arrived not knowing it was cash-only, but they were trusting enough to let me go to the cash machine in my own time). Situated about 5 minutes walk from the village, it doesn't take long to reach the restaurants and bars, though is far enough to not be bothered by the noise.
