Fantastic villa, only 4 villas very spacious clean and Private, the staff are amazing and really take an interest in looking after you. Food was very good with good variety. We will be back with a few more friends and family. Someone commented about the road in, and how bad it was, it’s actually not to bad as far as Sumba goes, we hired a scooter from the Villas and really explored the area. We would have stayed loner but unfortunately they were booked out. 5 nights was not long enough.

The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

We loved our experience and our wonderful guest captains Adji and Maxy made our stay so memorable. The hotels location is situated 1.5 hours from the airport which added to us getting to see the island of Sumba and its beauty.

It’s cozy and right in front of the beach. They have a restaurant with drinks and a decent menu with some specials, which luckily for us was lobster when we arrived. Big, fat, fresh lobster. Staff is kind and the rooms are super comfortable and well designed.

Lelewatu Resort Sumba features free WiFi and rooms with air conditioning in Watukarere. What a wonderful destination. This was one of the highlights of our time in Indonesia. The hotel is gorgeous and the villas are large, cozy, nicely designed, with the ocean waves, creating a nice atmosphere. A nice terrace outside where we opted to have breakfast every morning. We used the private pool in our villa every day. We did not want to leave the room to explore the island at times. The staff in particular were incredible and they did their best to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Very avaible via Whatsapp for anything we needed. Always with a smile. It will stay with me for a long time. Their breakfast and dining in particular were a highlight :)

A slice of paradise. All the staff were amazing and particularly Aloysius William who was painstakingly thorough in helping me navigate flights after the airport was shut due to volcanic ash. He kept me updated with news on flights which was so comforting. Dewi was also amazing but then all of the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The swimming pool is a gem and the beach is pristine and perfect for early morning walk. I wil be back!

Enjoying beach front location and views of the sea, Padadita Beach Hotel offers accommodation in Waingapu. On the beach but tides get high and not much walking. We had a Seaview with big balcony. Free airport shuttle

The meals were delicious The beach is beautiful and peaceful. It’s a perfect place to loose yourself and find yourself.

We love Asia and spend every year a month or more in the region. We found Three Queens exceptional for three reasons: First the location on the amazing and basically empty Rua Beach in beautiful Sumba. Second our hosts Lidya and Brad together with their three daughters and extended family pampered us throughout our stay with food and advice. Third, the four villas in traditional Sumba style are not only very beautiful, but also furbished and decorated with style and every detail is thought through.
