Featuring a Thai restaurant and tearooms, the Kells Bay House is set on 40 acres of unique gardens with subtropical plants. The Thai dinner was wonderful and the complimentary breakfast was delicious.

The Smugglers Inn overlooks the sandy beach at Ballinskelligs Bay. Most rooms have sea or mountain views and the hotel has a bar, a gourmet restaurant, free WiFi in all areas and free parking. Location, especially if you are golfer playing Waterville.

It's in the middle of a stunningly beautiful garden. Michael lives nearby but it feels private. I didn't see him after I checked in. Not a lot of windows inside but it gets some light in the morning anyway since it's on top of an exposed hill. There are outside sitting terraces all around, including a secluded one in the back. Views are amazing. Everything was very thoughtfully prepared, including cut flowers from the garden. Highly recommend.
