The beach was quite sheltered, as there were not many other guests at the time - and as the hotel only has seven units. The hosts were amazingly hospitable; they were always friendly and went the extra mile during our 3-day stay to help us with all kinds of requests. The facilities and some of the furniture were brand new and designed specifically for the hotel. In fact, the hotel only opened a few months ago, so it hasn't appeared on Google Maps yet. Breakfast is served at the affiliated Italian restaurant right next door. For context, this was a leisure trip with a family and a primary school child. We travelled by train.

Have to pick up keys some miles from Obama station--have to take taxi. But I had not read the instructions carefully. The instructions were clear and everything was fine. Taxi driver to key pick up was exceptionally helpful.

Conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from JR Tsuruga Train Station, Tsuruga Manten Hotel Ekimae features large public baths, a breakfast buffet serving a variety of dishes and a business centre... - Excellent location, very close to JR Tsuruga station (West Exit) - The room is spacious. - Comfy bed and pillow. I really like pillow that this hotel use - Public bath is very nice, clean and very new. - Free noodle at night (21:30-22:40). I would say very delicious!

It is right on the beach and they will let you use their car park and shower room after check out so you can still enjoy the beach and even take a shower to get the salt from a swim off you after you leave. Good views from the room, and liked the sento (hot bath) on the top floor where you can enjoy the view while taking a refreshing bath.

Our sons loved the loft situation, it was like camping out. I particularly appreciated all the vintage dishes and the tile work. It was such a lovely stay!
