I can not say enough nice things about this hotel. One of my favorite stays and Amila-san and Ryo-san were exceptional hosts.

There are two toilets (a rare convenience in Japan) and the location is great for exploring. Manami helped us rent e-bikes and gave us wonderful day-trip plans and cultural insights we would never have discovered on our own. Staying here felt like touching the true spirit of old Japan while enjoying modern comforts. For us, it was a dream place. If you value kindness, authenticity, and quiet beauty, book Oteragoto—you’ll feel Manami’s heart in every corner. She truly deserves all the guests who will love this place as much as we did. 10/10. The property offers bike hire and features a garden and outdoor fireplace. We loved that there was a usable kitchen with real kitchen knives, pans, pot, dinner ware. There was a grill. Plenty of space. Beautiful porch view. We launch our SUP with no problem. Good set up of our family of 4. So much better than a hotel !

The owner is very friendly and prepares tasty meals, both breakfast and dinner are recommended.
