For those looking to combine exercise with relaxation, my friends highly recommend trying kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding (SUP). It’s a great way to unwind while staying active. The ambience and serenity of the place is truly therapeutic. The beach is quiet and private, offering a peaceful retreat. We also suggest taking a walk to the long beach —it’s a beautiful experience. You can catch a sunrise. We would definitely recommend this place and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

The plot is big, so it's really nice to wander around all the plants and little paths. The double room we had was lovely, with view on the outside. Shout-out to the wonderful team who cooked amazing food for us and taught us Swahili. Very nice village close by, next to F-cafe, and good local food around. We had the best best time !

This really is the best place to stay on the Kenyan coast. It's not fancy, but it's a fantastic place in a perfect spot right next to a gorgeous stretch of beach. I live in Nairobi and have stayed at lots of places on the Kenyan coast, and the Watamu Beach Cottages is my favourite by far. The staff were friendly and helpful, the bungalow was beautiful and comfortable, and the viewpoints (where you can sit and enjoy the view of the ocean) were amazing. And the snack bar has great food! I'll definitely be back.
