The location was incredibly accessible, making it easy to explore the area. Our host was fantastic — welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help with any requests. The property was ideally situated near local amenities, so everything we needed was just a short walk away. Plus, there were so many activities to enjoy, from scenic walks around the island to boat rides and exploring the rich history of the area. It was truly a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Lamu!

Beautiful hotel with the best breakfast in Lamu. Their fresh baked bread is famous. The staff were so wonderful and went above and beyond to look after guests and the rooms and shared spaces are beautifully styled and really comfortable. I spent a lot of time on the rooftop enjoying the view. I had 3 fans in my room which was great as I didn't get any of the cool breeze that came through the upper floors at night (I was on the lowest guest floor and facing another building).

Featuring a swimming pool and tropical gardens, Kijani Hotel is situated on the coast of Lamu Island, along the Indian Ocean. The décor comes with natural handmade furniture, lanterns and ornaments. Location right on the water, Swahili decor, great staff and wonderful food. I have come here 5+ times! And I will be back!

It was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. The house is a traditional Swahili house, with a beautiful terrace and views, a tastefully decorated interior with all the necessary amenities and a well stacked kitchen, which is always a plus with kids. Our host Abadalla is quite simply the best host I’ve ever had - and we travel quite a bit. He was kind, thoughtful and basically carefully planned our entire stay, coordinating tours, recommending awesome local spots and day activities along the way. He took take of it all, from airport pick up, to sunset Dhow, to Lamu tour, he negotiated the prices and made the trip ultra smooth. He also served us beautiful breakfast every morning, with a large variety of fruits, Swahili pastries, omelettes, etc. He also stocked the fridge and made sure we always had drinking water for a very reasonable fee. The nicest and warmest guy, who also shared many special moments with us, and shared stories and history of Lamu as well. We would highly recommend Shela Bliss to anyone. An outstanding experience!

Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

It is such a lovely place that will make your stay in Shela a beautiful memory. Super cozy, spacious, full of light, with all amenities, drinking water, non stop electricity even during power cuts, great ventilation, chilled vibe and above all a constant support by Chris and Reuben, who have been great in all terms and made us feel like home. Ras Kitao Holiday Villa có hồ bơi ngoài trời, khu vườn, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên ở Lamu. Được xây dựng vào năm 2022, chỗ nghỉ nằm cách Mnarani House 7 phút đi bộ. Our vacation was fantastic! The place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the accommodations were very comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

Thanks to the housekeeper Fadir our stay was 10. We spent 3 nights in the house with all the comforts and the incredible kindness and closeness of Fadir. He gave us many recommendations like the guide Abu who show us around very professionally and close, everything was in detail. We also thank the cook Barak who came to make us breakfast and dinner, it was incredible! If we ever come back to Lamu we will come back to Umma. Asante sana!
