I enjoyed this hostel way more than some of the hotels I stayed at in Korea. The host is amazing and also owns the Cinnabon downstairs. Everyday you get free coffee and pastries and it was just such a nice gesture. The hostel is spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds and great wifi. I was alone most of the time so it was like having a hotel room for the price of a hostel

This is a wonderful accommodation option for a few nights. The studio unit fronts overlooks the beach, and as such, receives direct morning sun. The unit is fully equipped for a long stay, with great toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner) and both a washing machine and dryer. The kitchenette is small, but functional, with limited utensils, and a full fridge/freezer. With the location being beach-front, you have direct access to a range of restaurants (best of all is Hollys Cafe, which serves breakfast/lunch/dinner starting at 8am). There is an electric bike station just metres from the front door, however, if you want normal bikes, the nearest option is one of the rental agencies 2km away at the inland lake (which is a great place to bike around as it is closed to traffic). We loved our time here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for anyone wanting a quality stay!

The location was amazing! The breakfast was exceptional, but even more so because the host himself made it for each of us every morning. The host was so helpful about giving recommendations, even booked me a haircut at the local hairdresser's. The last day, there was a bigger group of Korean tourists at the hostel and he apologized if the noise was bothering me. Absolutely amazing experience! I will definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Sokcho!

They gave me a big city map and explained what places are worth visiting in the Seoraksan National Park and in Sokcho. I highly appreciate they helped me plan an onward bus journey to Andong. The bus stop for the National Park is 15 minutes away on foot, the express bus terminal for Seoul about the same, and the intercity bus terminal is a short bus ride away. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very quiet. I booked a single, but received a double room - thank you! There was a large fridge and a freezer on every floor.

The House Hostel is located in Sokcho. Free WiFi access is available. The bus terminal is 5 minutes' walk away. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning. One of my best stays during my trip. Lovely place, great and helpful owner. Thanks, Yoo!

The host was also very nice and gave us some recommendations for sights to see and where to eat - including a little fast food place nearby that's open late. Location was walkable to public transit and markets. Nice clean kitchen area and it was great having a desk and a spot to hang clothes in our room.
