The location was great at easy to get to. It was walking distance from the bus terminal, and had a bus stop right out in front that made traveling fast and convenient. All the rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and I was even able to get ice tea instead of an Americano (as I don't drink coffee). During my stay, the other guests were respectful and friendly (I came solo but left with a few new friends). If I visit Sokcho again, I will 10000000% be staying here.

This is a wonderful accommodation option for a few nights. The studio unit fronts overlooks the beach, and as such, receives direct morning sun. The unit is fully equipped for a long stay, with great toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner) and both a washing machine and dryer. The kitchenette is small, but functional, with limited utensils, and a full fridge/freezer. With the location being beach-front, you have direct access to a range of restaurants (best of all is Hollys Cafe, which serves breakfast/lunch/dinner starting at 8am). There is an electric bike station just metres from the front door, however, if you want normal bikes, the nearest option is one of the rental agencies 2km away at the inland lake (which is a great place to bike around as it is closed to traffic). We loved our time here, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for anyone wanting a quality stay!

Very clean with stocked kitchen, clean bathrooms with amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It was comfortable.

Judith, the owner is very nice with heart at her hand, always ready to help and answer any questions or doubts you might have. She always , even before arriving made sure we receive correct information. Breakfast was very nice and tasty and all food reccommendation by the owner are worth to follow. Excellent choice and auggestion for fish restaurant!!

The House Hostel is located in Sokcho. Free WiFi access is available. The bus terminal is 5 minutes' walk away. Each room here will provide you with air conditioning. This was my very first hostel stay, and although I was initially hesitant when making the reservation, I was completely blown away upon arrival. The place is quaint, charming, and beautifully maintained. The owner was exceptionally warm and helpful. He immediately sat down with me, pulled out a map, and helped plan my itinerary, pointing out the best places to visit and how much time to spend at each. My room was cozy and comfortable, equipped with air conditioning and a mini bar refrigerator—perfect for a relaxing stay. The bathroom was fully stocked with essentials like shower gel, shampoo, and even toothpaste, which was a thoughtful touch. What really impressed me was the extra convenience of having access to a secure locker outside the premises, even after I had checked out. That kind of attention to guest comfort is rare and truly appreciated. I highly recommend this hostel. It’s great value for money, and the experience exceeded all my expectations.

Host is very friendly and helpful, host gave me a ride to Ambok coffee street as she happened to have lunch appointment near by, very grateful. Clean cosy place, very simple walking distance from Gangneung Station and central market, including eating places. Highly recommended.
