We had the most wonderful stay at Marriott Perhentian Island – truly one of the best experiences of our lives. From the very beginning, we were pleasantly surprised when our original King room reservation was upgraded to a beautiful villa. I can honestly say I was overjoyed. The villa was stunning: a spacious bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a private pool overlooking both the jungle and the sea, and a cozy little living room where we could relax and watch our favorite shows in complete comfort and privacy. The staff made our stay even more special. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. A heartfelt thank you to Zephira, who went above and beyond to assist us throughout our stay – from helping us with reservations to organising our daily activities. She was wonderful, always so kind, and even brought a sweet gift for our 3-year-old son before our departure. It meant so much to us. The hotel has direct access to Romantic Beach, a true paradise with turquoise water and soft white sand. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, and the restaurants available were all very good. The ferry from Kuala Besut Jetty was comfortable and well-organized, making the journey easy and enjoyable. Our son loved the activities offered, and as a family we enjoyed every single moment. This hotel made our holiday truly unforgettable, and we left with beautiful memories. We absolutely recommend Marriott Perhentian Island without hesitation and we sincerely hope to return very soon

The location is great, on what I would say is the nicest beach on the islands and while not overboard, theres plenty of things just near the hotel - restaurants, dive centers etc so it doesn't get boring

The air-conditioned accommodation is 300 metres from Coral Bay Beach. The bed and breakfast has family rooms. It’s almost private beach, the room views, the terrace and bed were really nice. The diving school and, the best of all, the staff.

Set amidst a tropical jungle, Tunabay Island Resort provides air-conditioned rooms and chalets with a private balcony. This property houses a restaurant and offers guests with a variety of recreational activities.

Guests can go diving trip, snorkel or fish. Relaxing on the beach and enjoying a barbecue is another good recreation choice. We loved the beachfront chalet and definitely worth paying the extra for. The food in the restaurant was great and all the staff were incredibly helpful.

Suhaila Palace offers beachfront accommodation in Perhentian Besar Island. Free WiFi is available in public areas and guests can do various water sports activities. Certain rooms feature a balcony with sea view. What I liked in Suhaila Palace: Staff: Hotel staff was very helpful. They allowed me earlier check-in as I was so exhausted after 19 hours of flight and bus trip. Also, they offer sightseeing tours and water sport activities, which was great as you don’t need to look for everything by yourself. You need ferry boat tickets; airport or jetty pick up/drop off – hotel team can help you with any questions. Aunty’s banana pie at the reception was sweet and tasty. I believe I forgot about my diet and gained extra pounds. Location: Hotel is located right on the beach, with sea view and opposite to neighbor island with mosque. Perhentian Island Resort (PIR) and other small beaches were easily accessible and around 5-10 minutes of walking distance via jungle on the right side. Other more beautiful 4-5 beaches without people were on the left side from Suhaila Palace. Amenities: Hotel has own restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinners. Rooftop terrace is a great place for sunbathing or watching beautiful sunset. One and only small family shop in the island was in Suhaila Palace and was very helpful as island is isolated. Cooler with hot water was outside in the common area, but it didn’t work night time as connecting cable was removed. My room: There was a comfy bed, clean towels, soap, kettle, air conditioner, fan, mirror, hair dryer, safe (to keep money and documents), commode, cloth hangers, hooks, table with stool in my room. Shower had hot water. Outside shared sea view balcony with chairs and coffee table was nice. Wi-Fi internet: Internet connection was working well during day time. There was no internet connection one night, but next day I asked hotel manager to keep it on/not to turn off during night time as well. So, everything was fine. Hotel guests were very sociable and friendly as we all were on the isolated island. Overall, it’s a good comfortable hotel to stay if you are looking for beautiful sunsets and ocean view.

First, was the amazing service the young Asian man gave us he was just welcoming and amazing, I had lost one of my bags and he was not leaving no stone unturned to find it, and he did had my bag returned to me the following day, what an incredible person he is, I’m just sorry I forgot his name! It’s was a beautiful family room we had where our adult daughter got to have time alone in her own room and we had our’s, the balcony was beautiful, however at night the mosquitoes attacked us within (5) minutes that we came off the balcony and jumped into the shower
