Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Thé location was amazing, the water was calm, no wind like the other side of the island. The farm animals were a great perk . The owner and staff were so welcoming. The sunset with volcano views, near the entrance to the river for kayaking. Beside a happening bar. Mango beach is great too. The toilets and showers were very clean. A magical paradise. The hut was perfectly cute right on the water front.

Casa La Aventura is definitely one of the most beautiful accommodations I stayed at during my trip through Central America. As a solo female traveler, I felt incredibly comfortable and safe. Jon, one of the owners, was always available and provided recommendations and information instantly via WhatsApp—amazing service! The property is extremely well-maintained, and the rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. There’s nothing that could be improved—it’s already perfect, a true oasis of comfort. If you have the chance to stay here, do it!

Located in Moyogalpa, Rancho Tranquillo offers beachfront accommodation 34 km from Maderas Volcano and provides various facilities, such as a garden and a terrace. Free WiFi and a tour desk are featured. The ranch is beautiful and spaceous with lots of hammocks and spots to hang out. Daniela and Tony are the absolute best, so kind and helpful. There is only one dorm, so not that many people, and because of that it feels like a small family. The ranch is 15 minute walk from the town/ferry, so it is nice and quiet. The breakfasts are amazing and really good value, and one day we had a family dinner, which was delicious. You are surrounded by animals and flowers and trees, even mango-trees which you can help yourself from! They organise volcano tour (with delicious packed lunch), kayak and laundry if you need. This was my favourite place to stay on my trip, everyone should go visit this ranch!!

You walk around 5 minutes from the beach, the people here are so nice, with everyone having the same interest for surfing. It is very clean, the kitchen is good for cooking and there is even a skate bowl. I can recommend this to everyone who wants to surf and be surrounded by amazing people.

Che was an amazing host with lots of local recommendations and helped us book a scooter, ATV and gave us recommendations for horseback riding. This is an incredibly unique and beautiful cabin that Che built himself as a labour of love for his original home on Ometepe Island. We felt incredibly lucky to have stumbled on this absolute gem of a place to stay in one of the most special places in the world.

The rooms were fun and clean, the facilities were helpful (fridge, outdoor shower, kitchenette), and the private upstairs patio with two hammocks was so relaxing. If you want to avoid the party hostels, this 4 room property is intimate, peaceful, and absolutely worth booking.

It is a beautiful semi-secluded sanctuary perfect for travelers who enjoy peace and quiet and nature, and who are interested in trading a few luxuries for a more authentic and eco-friendly stay. It is a few miles from any stores or restaurants, but they serve food on site that is delicious and reasonably priced.
