Huge rooms, a lot of space, very well equipped, nice interior and easy check in. Everything was perfect, would definitely book again.

A bicycle rental service is available at the apartment, while walking tours and pub crawls can be enjoyed nearby. Everything was great! Marleen met me and gave me the keys. She was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. There were some complementary snacks: sugar-glazed almonds and two cartons with fruit juice. The apartment was large, spotlessly clean and had everything (a fully equipped kitchen, bathrobes (which were very om point, considering the fact the weather was very cold for the end of May, and it was a bit chilly in the evenings), a fridge with a freezer, a hair drier etc.) The neighbourhood is very safe (well, Urk IS a very safe city in general), there are two bakeries, a supermarket, a sweets store and a slaughter shop next door. The beach is a few minutes away by foot.

Absolutely everything was exactly as we hoped it would be. We were visiting from America, and wanted an experience that would be different than what we were used to having on the USA. Ria, and her beautiful and unique property were wonderful! Situated right on the picturesque harbor, it is easy walking distance to everything! We stayed on the top floor. Ria is a charming host who prepared a fabulous breakfast that could have fed a large family! If we are ever lucky enough to return to Hoorn, we will definitely stay there again!

The host was lovely and spoke very good English. Her husband was very poorly but she still made me breakfast at 7am. So kind. It’s a beautiful place.

Hinderloopen or Stavoran are the restaurant/bar options, both about 5 miles away, but we were well aware & prepared for that.

The location is truly amazing – a beautiful and peaceful village away from the city noise, right next to the lake and beach. It’s also very convenient for visiting Hoorn and exploring other great places in North Holland (West Friesland). The apartment itself is cozy, clean, and welcoming, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home right away. The hosts are extremely kind and hospitable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
