Picton Waterfront Apartments offer spacious, modern, self-contained accommodation in the heart of Picton. First took the 4 bedroom apartment. then visited again with a friend and took the 2 bedroom apartment. It was spotless with a fantastic view of the water.

This might be the nicest place we have stayed since beginning extended travel in retirement. It was a bit more than our budget, but we cooked our dinners to compensate, which worked out well as we really enjoyed being there in the evenings. The photos do a great job of showing the large bedroom, bathroom, and full kitchen. It's decorated like a home rather than a hotel, and has a large deck with a lovely view of the marina. It does take 10-15 minutes to walk into town, depending on your destination, but it's a lovely walk. We were able to arrange a ride into town with our luggage the morning we departed as we had already dropped a car off.

Furneaux Lodge is located in Endeavour Inlet and has a garden and shared lounge. This resort offers a concierge service and luggage storage space. The property features a restaurant. We absolutely loved our stay! Once we figured out the transportation to get to the lodge, everything was easy and well organized. It’s a fabulous place to be both active and relax: it’s right on the Queen Charlotte Track, we borrowed the kayaks, and we swam in the water. We also enjoyed sitting in the hammocks and relaxing in the hot tub. The food was delicious (though I found the prices a bit high for NZ) and enjoyed in their lovely dining room or patio. The service was great! We can’t wait to come back!

Te Mahia Bay Resort offers accommodation in Kenepuru Sounds. The resort has a barbecue and a private beach area. A TV with satellite channels. Lovely little hotel in a beautiful bay, with warm and welcoming family making you feel at home straight away. Perfect to rekax and explore this part of the marlborough sounds.

Flaxbourne Motels is located in Ward. Each room here will provide you with a TV. There is a full kitchen with an oven and a refrigerator. Everything was very clean and tidy. We needed to check-in late and everything was organized very smooth and uncomplicated. It was a perfect one night stay after taking the ferry and going to Christchurch the next day. The owners are so lovely and gave us some amazing hidden tips where to go. I definitely recommend staying there!
