We especially enjoyed the boat vibe, being close to the water for sunrise and sunset, the private dock with hammocks, watching the dolphins, the great snorkling experience right at our spot, the good cooking, the friendly hosts, the day travel to red frog beach with the canoes of the property. We throrougly enjoyed the tropical wilderness and being away from civilization.

Pierre and Manon are perfect hosts. The location is gorgeous, the cabin was beautifully appointed. We loved everything about the ecolodge. Dinner was always excellent. There were monkeys and red frogs. (We didn’t see the caimans).

Staying at Carmen’s was an absolute highlight of our trip! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends into her home. The place is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms, a lovely dock, and a lush garden perfect for relaxing. The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this place special is the warmth and hospitality of Carmen and Marcel. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, always with such kindness and care. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and abundant—a perfect way to start the day. And in the evening, Carmen’s home-cooked dinners were a treat—she prepares the freshest fish of the day, and all the guests gather around the table to share a meal and great conversation. Carmen was incredibly helpful with everything, from tending to a blister on my foot to organizing day trips. This stay was more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

Pure Roots ligger i Bastimentos, mindre end 1 km fra Carenero Noreste Strand og 2,3 km fra Carenero Strand, og har havudsigt og gratis wi-fi. We had a wonderful time at this place. You are surrounded by jungle. The huts are very cozy and they have everything you need. Jen is the host of this accommodation and she lovingly takes care of her guests. There is a delicious breakfast and she helps you organize any activities you want to do. We will remember this accommodation for a long time.

The Lodge at Punta Rica- Hilltop Eco-Lodge with Views & Pool er et nyrenoveret Bed & Breakfast i Bastimentos, hvor gæsterne kan få mest muligt ud af poolen med udsigt, privat strandområde og... I am an hospitality expert and I have discovered Punta Rica Lodge by case. I feel very lucky to have discovered this paradise. The Lodge is beautifully designed and decorated in details and surrounded by the most beautiful trees and plants and flowers. Is it located on a small hill and had a private Pier where you can look at sunset over the water. The Rooms are huge and beautifully designed. The piace and the sound of the birds is mind blowing. But the BEST part is yet to come. DANIEL, of of the owners ( unfortunately i could not meet the second owner but hopefully next time soon), was not ONLY the most pleasant and kind and friendly person, but also a 5 star CHEF. He was cooking for us every eve ning offering a 3 courses menu that was mind blowing. Nobody from the guests wanted to go eat outside because Daniel’s food was surreal. His desserts were better then a Michelin star. The Breakfast was just delicious and offered different options, same for dinner. The hotel had a beautiful pool to relax. Along the walking path of the hotel you can spot the famous red frogs ( no need to look further). Sara was amazing and her breakfast was fantastic. The small apero before dinner and the common salon table was amazing so socialize with other travelers and as a solo traveler i never felt alone which was fantastic. If you still want intimacy the Lodge has also single tables. Home stay cozy feels like style. Well connected to the other islands by a short 5 minutes water boat taxi ride.

Hotel Caribbean View ligger i Bastimentos og har et fælles opholdsområde, terrasse, en restaurant og vandsportsfaciliteter. Luis and his family were so hospitable, the food he cooked us was delicious! The place itself is so tranquil looking over the water. We loved staying here and wish we could’ve stayed longer, it was very chilled and simplistic island life.
