Pedasí Airport is 259 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. We had a lovely time at Rancho Estero. We stayed in one of the cabins/huts without private bathroom. The shared bathrooms are kept clean at all times. The property itself is beautiful and has an outside kitchen as well as lots of hammocks in the shade. You can easily arrange trips to Coiba via the hosts- definitely recommend this trip as it was organised so well. We extended our stay since we enjoyed Santa Catalina and Ranchero Estero so much.

The staff were great and everything could be arranged right from the hostel (kayak rental, Coiba snorkeling tour, surfing lessons). A special thanks to Amir for being an amazing snorkeling guide and surf instructor :-) The whole hostel area was really nice and cozy with a good atmosphere and great views of the sea and Isla Catalina. Kitchen worked well as well. Room and hostel very clean.

Villa Coco is located 15 min walk or 5 min bike ride (free) from Playa Estero, a famous spot to learn surfing and enjoy the beach. The town center, 10 minutes away, offers multiple restaurants and bars and the takeoff spot for the UNESCO world heritage Coiba, bookable in the hotel. Excellent staff and cleanliness. The hotels restaurant is quite delicious. Super cool pool and tasty cocktails.

This property is about 3 hours’ drive from Enrique Malek International Airport in David City. Estero Beach is 1.5 km away. It was a hotel that felt like a family home. The restaurant is very popular and Juan is a great chef. I just felt at home. The big porch invites conversation between guests. Christina is very kind and runs a tight ship. I liked it so much, I’m returning next month with my whole family.
