Right on the beach and within walking distance from many restaurants, the main square and a main park (Paseo de la Amistad). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and was cleaned every day which helped deal with sand that gets everywhere and kept the bed and towels always refreshed. Breakfast was very good.

The place has an interesting story dating back to the time of the Incas, and maybe even futher back. There are two swimmingpools, lots of sun-chairs and different outdoor spots to relax in and out of the sun. There is one big family room with a kitchen and the other rooms in different sizes all have fridges and comfortable beds. There is also a shared kitchen. Edwin or George often make a fire in the outdoor fireplace in the evenings, creating a cozy outdoor atmosphere under the moon and stars. They will happily show you their «one-match» fire-technique and share interesting stories.

Punta Huanchaco is an amazing hostel run by an amazing couple. It's the best spot for surfing and has super friendly family hippie vibes. Great spot to come to serf and chill and meet new great people. I stayed in total for almost 3 weeks and I wish to stay even longer. Thank you Dario and Gigi for this amazing time I could spend with you 🫶🏽

Offering a sun terrace and views of the sea, ATMA Hostel & Yoga is located in Huanchaco in the La Libertad Region, 11 km from Trujillo. Great hostel! Perfect location. Best common areas I've seen and super kind staff. Highly recommend!

Great view from the apartment and the sound of the ocean is great for sleeping. Lots of restaurants steps away. Washing machine was a bonus. Highly recommend!

Olga and her husband (apologies we missed his name!) were fantastic hosts. Friendly and considerate, English speaking, and had lots of local knowledge. The studio is very modern, super clean, and well equipped with pretty much anything you could need. The absolute best part though was the views, loved sitting on the patio watching the sunset and the surfers. The town of Huanchaco is charming and the place was quiet particularly at night - with only the calming sounds of the waves. Great to have the convenience of the laundry facilities, our own kitchenette, and we liked that there were many shelves and storage for our things. We had such a relaxing stay and would highly recommend!
