The two are very special and they and their team cared so much about our well-being and experiences we would make in Iquitos and the beautiful nature around it. Martin and his team were absolutely amazing, when our backback ripped just when we arrived Martin offered to fix it we were so grateful since it would have been impossible to travel with a broken backpack. Our guide Flavio and driver Emanuel really went above and beyond to show us everything when it comes to the wildlife in Amazon, he even went back looking for my sunglasses that I managed to loose on our walking tour. We were lucky to see everything from Pink river dolphins, sloths, monkeys, capybaras, caymans and a lot more. The food was very good and healthy. The rooms were comfortable and we really loved the hammocks that were on the balcony, perfect to relax there between adventures in the Amazon.

Jacamar Lodge Expeditions ligger på bredden af Amazonfloden, midt i junglen og 120 km fra Iquitos centrum. Dette rustikke vandrerhjem tilbyder en bred vifte af aktiviteter i floden og junglen. Danny was the best tour guide. He took good care of us and gave us the best jungle experience according to our needs. We saw so many different animals (sloth, baby alligator, piranhas, dolphins, birds, wolf spider, firefly and many others) during a short stay, thank you Danny! Didn’t got mosquito bites at the lodge at all, (but be prepared at night in the jungle🤫). Last but not the least, the food at the lodge was fresh and simply delicious (I tried some fancy restaurants at Cusco but I liked the food at the lodge more!)

Libertad Jungle Lodge tilbyder indkvartering i Yucuruche med en terrasse. Gæster hos lodgen kan fiske og sejle i kano i nærheden eller få mest muligt ud af stedets have. The staff are exceptional. My guide Joel came and picked me up from the airport and took me to the lodge in safety, which is approximately 2-3 hours travel. During my stay I felt completely safe as a solo traveller. The food was fresh and amazing every time with freshly made juices from local fruit in every meal. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms feature your own balcony with an incredible view. Regarding the facilities, the lodge is located on the river and is built with natural materials, so of course, expect to see insects. You are in the jungle after all! The mosquito nets do a really good job though, so I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Expect to hear wildlife noises from your room, although I quite enjoyed waking up with the sound of birds every day. The activities were super organised, and they offer a big variety for day and night experiences. All of them are wildlife experts, you get a personal guide, a personalised tour and a boat driver at all times. Don't forget to tip your guides! They will totally deserve it as well. They try their hardest to make your experience an amazing one! If you are crazy about wildlife, I recommend Joel. He could spot all sorts of animals from a distance, so I got to see a lot of different species. Both, with Wilson, the canoe driver, they had amazing coordination. I totally recommend the lodge and I would do it all over again. When you get there, you will see there are other lodges as well, which seemed to target tourists more, but not sure either. I am happy I chose this one and got to support their community!
