Nice place away from the main road but very walkable to the sardine run area/beach. Very quiet inside the bedroom when we closed the bedroom door. Breakfast was good and cooked to order. Clean inside the room and within the compound. Has life vest in good condition for rent. Friendly staff helped us with our bags and orientated us with the rooms and other things we should know. At check-out, the staff kindly called for a tuk-tuk and ensured we will not pay an unreasonable tourist price.

The longest review I’ll ever right so if you’re too lazy to read : AMAZING stay ! Fantastic hosts : Anna and her partner Maxime made me feel like part of the family, they are absolute gems ! Always available with a big smile on their face. They go the extra mile to answer any needs, they are very friendly and welcoming. I will miss them dearly. The property : the hostel is small which makes you feel like home (the name of the hostel is definitely adequate). The dorm offers single and double bunk beds with shared bathroom or a private room. Good mattress and pillow, privacy curtains all around your bed, AC woks well. Great value for money ! Location : ideal ! You can walk to the beach (sardines run) and to town where you’ll find plenty of restaurants & bars. Food : Free drinkable water and coffee available all day long. The host Anna cooks and offers a free “bundle fight” meal every Friday night to gather the guests together and make you discover a very Filipino traditional meal. You definitely dont want to miss it ! The breakfast is very affordable and super yummy, vegetarian option available. Service : many tours available for the best price (cheaper than other places I’ve seen), Anna will help you get a scooter to rent or will call you a tricycle if needed (once again, best prices since she is Filipina and has good contacts) The free Wifi connection is great, didn’t have any issue. Free card games / board games available to use for rainy days. Laundry service available. Cleanliness : you share a bathroom with your fellow travellers and the shower & toilets are aside so obviously it can get messy with sand and water (just like everywhere else in the Philippines). Just kindly let Anna know and she will take care of it right away ! The room was clean and the bedsheets smelled amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you guys, you made my stay unforgettable.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Camotes Cay Hideaway. It truly lives up to being a real hideaway — private, secluded, and wonderfully peaceful. The atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing, with the waves serving as a natural white noise while you sleep, and birds chirping in the morning as your alarm clock. The hosts Bill and Cristina were perfect: always prompt in communication, attentive, and warm. Breakfast each day was great, and we were delighted by a free room upgrade with the best views which made the view even more spectacular. If you want somewhere peaceful with excellent hosts, great communication, and a setting that helps you disconnect, this place is perfect. PS. The internet connection is great and did I mention that they have cute dogs too? 🙂

Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort có trung tâm thể dục, khu vườn, sân hiên và nhà hàng ở Daanbantayan. The resort is right on the beach, with bar and restaurant serving delicious food and drinks the whole day!! Breakfast is good and offers different options daily, food is covered with foil to prevent flies (something we didn’t see often in the Philippines). Cold water is always available and bottle refill for a minimum charge of 25 pesos. A little to no plastic is used and plenty of shade. The reception is really helpful and will help you with anything you may need (including finding a good massage). Right at the bar there is also the dive center offering curses and fun dives (EXCEPTIONAL). What we liked the most is the family atmosphere, the staff is great, friendly attentive helpful and welcoming!! We thank JM, Eileen, Karen, Shara and the rest of the staff for making our week in Malapascua amazing!
