John the owner he’s not doing that “host” act. He’s just a solid guy who actually shows up for his guests. No delays, no excuses, no attitude. You need something? It’s done. You’ve got questions? He answers them before you even ask. No ego, no weird vibe just pure respect and presence. It’s rare as hell. Even the scooter rental is on point brand new, rides clean, price is fair. Not one of those beat-up bikes everyone else tries to pass off as “ok.” This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s run properly. It feels good. You can tell someone gives a shit about the details and that alone makes it better than half the so-called “top-rated” places out there. Stay here. That’s it.

I especially liked the design and comfort of the beds - they have a proper privacy curtain, a locker and a couple of shelves inside the bed capsule. The family that owns the place live in the same building, so the maintenance issues are resolved quickly. They sometimes do their own family dinners and evening events where guests are usually invited to join in. Hostel has backup generators and Starlink internet, so in the event of power outage, you still have electricity and internet.

It is situated 11 km from Naked Island and offers a 24-hour front desk. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. It’s a brand new hostel and everything is so clean! The mattresses are comfy, the softest blankets, good water pressure (shower) but most important: Jayde is the best host and he makes sure you’re having a good time staying here. Highly recommend.

Our room and entire property was very beautiful and well maintained. Room was cleaned every day and when we came home in the evening, every time there would be dimmed lights left what felt very welcoming. Joseph and Elvira were very friendly and gave us all sorts of suggestions on what to see and do. We are especially thankful for organizing us the private boat ride to Mam-on island and the encouragement to go surfing together. We cannot wait to go back!!
