Marvin and Maricel were absolutely fantastic hosts that went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and fun. The staff girls were friendly efficient and great fun. All services including laundry, tours, meals and transfers were executed with minimal fuss with Marvin driving us to Roxas personally for a very reasonable rate. Mongki (Marvin) also recommended Kalui seafood restaurant which is a must do if you are visiting Puerto Princesa. We enjoyed our stay so much we have already re booked for a return leg.

I would like to especially appreciate the team from the Front Office who always took care of our requests very promptly: booking trips, taxi, recommendations (Hi Val!) - The kitchen is extraordinary, a combination of traditional Filipino dishes with European dishes, all cooked with great taste, perfectly. I would like to personally send greetings to the Chef for the extraordinary New Year's Eve dinner. Also, you should not miss the event every Friday: barbecue dinner. Order with confidence the food from the hotel restaurant and from the bar, very tasty, a very good price-quality ratio, compared to what is found in El Nido (Hi Marvin, brother) - The room is nicely decorated, I received from the hotel natural juices and fresh fruits. Very comfortable bed, every day you wake up with a view of the pool. - Another plus is the location of the hotel, in the newest area of ​​El Nido, very close to the area with restaurants and bars, but without being affected by their noise. -I would like to note the organization of the New Year's Eve event, the dinner was extraordinary, we had a fireworks display from the roof of the hotel, where there is a view over the whole of El Nido. - Many thanks to the hotel manager, Mr. Nilo, for taking care every day that we feel very good and for socializing. - I would say in the end that staying at Funny Lion in El Nido is not just a simple stay but an entire experience that we enjoyed for 9 days.

It was so beautiful and the perfect place to relax and be off grid. The food was amazing, our little bee hive hut was in the perfect spot right near the water and was an extremely comfortable sleep with all the fans. The bathroom facilities were beautiful and the staff were lovely!

I decided to make an exception and stay at a hostel (instead of getting a private room with bathroom at a hotel) because the vibe and personality of this place are just so awesome!! I ended up paying for two persons for a doubleroom, just so that I could have a private room all to myself. Great stay! Excellent customer service -Fantastic location!! P.S. after I checked out, I was supposed to do a 4 day/3 night Expedition tour from El Nido to Coron (booked through another company). When the expedition got canceled and I had no place to stay (because all accommodations in El Nido were fully booked), the girls (Ellen, Marielle, (and Celeste)) were going out of their way trying to help me find a place to stay on the island. I genuinely appreciate the care that they showed the whole time. I feel genuinely valued and cared for, not only as a hotel guest but as a guest of the Philippines. The Funny Lion - Coron boasts of an outdoor swimming pool, an open air bath featuring natural views, and dining options on-site, this 4-star resort is 1.5 km from Mount Tapyas and 6.5 km from Kayangan... For us, the staff made our stay there top notch. They were very helpful, polite and always friendly. The morning breakfast was superb!
