Jan was very accommodating with my early check in time and let me leave my bags in the living room as I waited to check in. I originally booked for 4 nights but ended up staying an extra 5. Because the Homestay can only accommodate up to 6 people the place is a lot quieter then other places in siargao. For the price you pay and what you get the value is amazing. Place is cleaned daily and shower also has hot water. A/C in the rooms is also super comfortable. If you have a wise account he can help you withdraw money without the crazy high atm fees. The Homestay is close to everything and easy to walk to scooter rentals around his neighbourhood. He can help with booking transportation to and from the airport as well if needed. Had many amazing conversations with jan during my stay and would definitely recommend booking here if you’re looking for a comfortable bed to stay in during your time in siargao.

The place was just like in the pictures. The room was on the second floor, and there was a kitchen and fridge on the first floor that people could use. The restaurant recommendations from Capacabana were also great. The staff were very friendly, especially Erwin, who was always happy to help and had a cheerful demeanor.

Staff was excellent. Room was clean. It’s also super quiet despite being near tourism road. There are only very few guests so the pool is never crowded (and most of the time you have it to yourselves)

We had an amazing 7-day stay at Fat Lips Surf Lodge, even during the island-wide power outage. Despite the challenges, the entire crew went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. The lodge is in an ideal location in Catangnan, just a short ride from Cloud 9 and General Luna, with a peaceful garden view surrounded by lush greenery. Tim was incredible, always checking in to ensure everything was okay. With a generator, running water, and fast Wi-Fi, we had everything we needed and never felt inconvenienced. Huge thanks to Kuya Julius, his wife, and the rest of the fantastic team for making us feel so at home. We also had the chance to meet Apple (Tim’s wife), who is so kind and cool. She even gave us some awesome Fat Lips merch to remember our trip! 🙈 And, of course, lil Stevie stole our hearts. We already miss that sweet little guy! 🥹❤️ P.S. You also get a 10% discount at their shop and on surfboard rentals, which was such a nice bonus. We’re already planning to come back next year — and this time, we’re staying for a whole month! We loved our stay at The Ohm. Our room was upstairs which we thought was perfect for us! We had a nice pool view. The staff was always helpful and kind when we needed tricycles or bikes. The food was very tasty and the coffee was delicious. It is a calm place which allows you to work on your computer or just to soak in Siargaos vibe. We love staying a little more out of the noisy parts so this place was perfect for us. You can still easily walk to different bars and restaurants or take a tricycle. We also had the chance to meet the owner who was very kind. The Ohm is a little pricey compared to other places in Siargao but you get what you paid for.
