We absolutely loved our hosts - Fabiana and her husband! They were quick to respond to all my messages pre-arrival, and were always ready to help. When we arrived, Fabiana immediately pulled up the map on her iPad to give us an idea of the area, since we had never been to Albufeira. She was quick to give us extra towels and whatever else we needed, and also provides sunscreen, pool noodles, etc. The shared kitchen was always open, and has a wonderful (free) coffee machine with just about any type of coffee or hot chocolate you might want. She also provides a shelf for each room, if you want to store any snacks, and a shelf in the fridge. The outdoor space is great - complete with comfy bean bag chairs and shade. Fabiana was sweet enough to give us a bottle of wine on our arrival! She even let us do laundry, free of charge, in their machine. There's a drying rack outside if you just need to rinse off some items and hang them to dry. The location is uphill from town, but it was probably only about a 10 minute walk. We did take a Bolt, for a few dollars, to our boat trip leaving from the Marina - since that would have been about a 20-25 minute walk. We were so impressed by the warmth and kindness of our hosts, and would certainly stay there again if we ever come back to Albufeira - but would simply book a larger room!

We really appreciated the atmosphere of Marina de Albufeira with all its small restaurants, terraces, activities and music. Staying in a place like this provides really laid-back vibes. Besides, our Houseboat 8 was provided with everything we needed for a comfortable short-term vacation. It was clean and had all modern facilities. Having breakfast on the front terrace was enjoyable, sunbathing on the upper deck was fantastic. Our huge thanks to every member of the Homeboat Company Albufeira and special thanks to Nana who helped with checking in.

Located in Lagos, 500 metres from Porto de Mos Beach and 1.9 km from Dona Ana Beach, Lagos Atlantic Hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and a bar. One of the better hotels we’ve stayed at. Don’t think we will go to another hotel when we visit Lagos again!

Featuring free WiFi, NAU Salema Beach Village offers accommodation in Salema, in the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park. Lagos is 15 km away. Free private parking is available on site.... Very comfortable houses equipped with all the necessary things. Very helpful staff always smiling and professional. Well-maintained swimming pool. Apartments cleaned daily. Easy to get to the beach, the hotel has a special car. Very charming place. Close to other Algarve attractions.

This is a charming boutique hotel that is family run. It is perfect if you are looking for a place close to either Lagoa or Carvoeiro, but desire a quieter location and a great value. I really appreciated the free parking lot. Best of all was an unexpected breakfast that way exceeded my expectations, especially for a small hotel. I will definitely be returning on my next trip.
