The location is actually on the out skirts - past Hotel Mecure Binderbui - keep the hotel on your right and keep going until the road ends and down the unmade path until you arrive at huge ornate gates. Then phone the host Achim and he opens them for you. In fact best keep messaging the property to let them know of your arrival. Once through the gates you enter this amazing tranquil oasis. We think this is a new venture and from what we understood is linked with the church. They have - which is quote common in Romania from what we have learnt on our travels there- bought old traditional homes and re built them in a rural setting of their own design around a lake. We stayed in the Windmill. This was lovely, we chose to sleep on the first floor and stared up at the old mill mechanism and listened to the crickets. Further down the track there is a large communal barn and kitchen area where you can cook- including outside BBQs. As this property is recently online and I assume that when setting up a place on Booking .com you will have to conform to their templates- but this property can't do that. So yes you have a kitchen and BBQ- but it is not inside the windmill. This place is perfect if you want quiet picturesque setting where you can sit and watch and listen to nature. Down the road you have Medias - which is an attractive town. I wish now we had stayed longer and booked breakfast with them. I bet you that is amazing.

The host contacted us to find out our ETA and if we would like a dinner, which we accepted and were in for a treat! We received instructions how to find this quaint little village in a middle of nowhere and once we arrived, we were greeted with huge smiles and welcoming words. The house is huge and very clean, with several rooms to stay in. Their large garden had kids play area and lots of cozy corners to relax in. Our room felt spacious enough and the decor made it feel cozy. The dinner was home made and prepared with love, absolutely delicious. Same as breakfast, the portions were huge and we were treated like a royal couple.

It has all the facilities, from a De' Longhi coffee maker to towels for drying the dishes. At arrival a plate with fruit was expecting us on the table, 2 bottles of water, milk for the coffee, croissants. Everything was very comfortable, very clean and ideal to relax. We were with our 2 year old and he loved it, he said it is "acasa la Sibiu". :)
