It's rare to find such welcoming people, and it made my stay so much more enjoyable. The breakfast they serve is delicious – a perfect start to the day. Plus, they offer scooter rentals, which made exploring Koh Mak Island super convenient. I was also impressed that they have a laundry service, which was a lifesaver during my stay. Koh Mak itself is beautiful, and this hostel is the perfect base to enjoy everything the island has to offer. I loved every minute of my time here and would absolutely come back in the future. Highly recommend!

That might just be the best hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. It's a family owned and operated resort with just 11 villas. It was completely rebuilt a few years ago and as far as I understand that's why the rating is not solid 10. There are still old reviews, but new facilities deserve nothing except a full 10. Villas are huge, like really huge and so very well designed. View is amazing and since they're located on the hill the row in front doesn't block the view and no one can see you in your room. Air conditioner is quiet and is perfectly clean without any bad smell. Water is hot and pressure is very good. They rake the beach non stop from morning to night so there's absolutely zero sandflies. We were spending most of the time at the resort's beach because it's also quite beautiful with the view on other islands and they built bamboo structures to provide shadow at any time of the day if you get tired of the sun. You can also take free paddle boards and kayaks at the hotel and they rent out scooters for the usual price. But one of the best parts is the restaurant. I don't think there's any other place on the whole island which can compare in terms of flavors and freshness of seafood. Every single dish we tried was simply perfect. Most of the staff speaks English and they really know how to run the place, we never had to wait for anything and none of the requests were ever forgotten or messed up.

Nestled along the pristine stretch of Ao Kao Beach, Koh Mak White Sand Beach offers comfortable modern tropical bungalows with free WiFi. Lovely, small little resort which has one of nicest beaches on the island. I wish I stayed there for more than two nights. Staff are very helpful.

Good Time Sports Resort is the peaceful choice for fitness- and health-oriented travellers. I only stayed for one night at Good Time Sports Resort with my son, but it left a lasting impression. We had one of the spacious villas, surrounded by a lush, well-kept tropical garden – absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The location is right in the center of Koh Mak, which means everything you want to see or do is just a short ride or walk away. At the same time, the resort feels like a quiet oasis. Even during our short stay, we could enjoy the lovely pool, explore the outdoor gym (which is surprisingly well-equipped!), and take in the calm vibe of the whole place. There are tennis and pickleball courts too, plus yoga in the mornings – you can really feel the focus on wellbeing and movement here. A special thank you to Kerstin, who is truly one of the warmest hosts I’ve met, and Peak, the fantastic resort manager. They make you feel right at home from the first minute. If You’re looking for something more than just a beach resort, this is the place. And if beach is what You want – they’ll even organize access to a beautiful private one. Wish we had stayed longer!

The location is unreal! It’s totally away from the huddle and bustle, perfect for us and wanting to be in a tranquil escape. It was so peaceful listening to the waves and birds at night and mornings. It’s a small complex so always plenty of deck chairs and places to sit and not many guests. Feels like a prefect private place to have a break. The owners are so passionate about giving you a perfect stay. They collected us from the pier and dropped us off. When we arrived we had a fresh coconut and mango sticky rice. Our room was very large, great working new air con too. Shower was powerful and hot. They went above and beyond more times than we could count we extended our stay once there as it was so perfect. From free coffee, breakfast, free kayaks, they arranged scooters for us and helmets too, advised us places to go. It was just so perfect! We will definitely be back. After all that and more they even gave us a small gift as we left. Thank you

A wonderful location right next to the pier, full of activity whenever a boat/ferry came in, and really peaceful with just the fishermen for company until the sunset, then just the colourful lights illuminating the pier, totally mesmerising.
