The new Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort – SHA Plus is an absolute beachfront property situated on Bangsak beach, a long stretch of coastline off the Andaman Sea, just a 90 minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Everything was clean. Location is perfect. Breakfast was amazing.

The Malila offers international food by the beachfront with views of the open kitchen where guests can enjoy fresh seafood dishes. The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

The resort boasts a 3.2 km lagoon pool. I had breakfast at the Waterfront restaurant for the duration of my stay and it was first class service. Khun Pooh helped me feel very comfortable whilst traveling alone to the resort, all the staff knew my name and showed me around the buffet and the food was so fresh and locally grown so the vegetables had extra taste and there were many healthy options available, the fresh juices were equisite.

A beautiful and calm place, located away from the main road and right at the beach. Felt a bit like being in the jungle (in a good way), because there are a lot of trees on the property. The staff was outstandingly friendly and kind. I got a free room upgrade and prolonged my stay. The food at the hotel’s restaurant was fantastic. Nice big pool. Dive schools are in walking distance. Good location to do day trips (e.g. diving) with pick up from the hotel.

At the hotel, the rooms are equipped with a desk. With a private bathroom fitted with a shower and free toiletries, some units at Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa also feature a sea view. All guest rooms at the accommodation come with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a safety deposit box. We stayed at the Khao Lak Marriot on an opening deal and were incredible impressed to say the hotel hadn't even been open for a month. The staff were all superb and each restaurant offers something different. We loved the vast beach at the property and the adult only pool was a very welcomed amenity.

Staff were a pleasure to deal with and always available and helpful. Couldn’t fault this hotel.

Staff was incredibly nice and they also have motorbikes on site for rent! 150 baht/day for the motor bikes (~$4.50USD/day). Great location, within 5-10 minute motorbike ride to “main drag” of town or the beach!
