We were made to feel so welcome and everything was designed to make us happy and help us. Kookai and Wun are fun and will help you with anything. They helped sort out our onward travel - ferry and taxi transfer at half the price we were quoted by our next home stay/hotel. The bungalow was clean and situated in lovely gardens. The food was consistently of a high standard. Kookai helped my wife get her hair cut!!! Kookai also gave my wife a motorbike ride to the beach when I took the bungalow key!! Sunset/Charlie beach is a 4 minute walk away - one of the best beaches in Thailand.

This property is excellent. It’s situated in the jungle but only a short walk from the main strip. It is so relaxing and the staff will go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. Unfortunately Ill health meant we had to cut out stay short. The owners arranged our transport to the mainland and woke super-early to cook us a breakfast and ensure we made our transfer safely. We will definitely be staying again

Despite the business of the road, it is actually very quiet and guests arexredoectful of the peace. The village centre and local restaurants are easily accessible by walking. The local beaches are good and Charlie Beach is a short B50 ride away. I was last at Mook Ing Lay during covid and even then, under various restrictions, they made an effort fir me. It is so good to be back! You are warmly greeted at reception, catering for special requests - I had just come off the speedboat, and it was possible to check in early. Every afternoon, you get a plate of fruit, and every evening, the mosquito coil is lit on the patio outside your room. The room is clean (with tea. Coffee and 2 water bottles) and the bed is so comfortable. The air con works very well and is unobtrusive. I had a fantastic stay at Mook Ing Lay!
