It was a peaceful, comfortable stay. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help. We visited with our pet golden doodle who was just as warmly received and enjoyed the beautiful compound and friendliness of staff as much as we did. Would definitely visit again.

You feel like in paradise, a lot of different birds flying around the place, so you can do a birdwatching. Any moment you can take a boat and do a Shoebill tour from the lodge, staff were more then amazing, always ready to provide you with all necessary things. Perfect place to stay before heading back to Entebbe

I had a wonderful stay at De Rain Uganda Hostel! The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, and the location – close to the lake and surrounded by nature – made it the perfect place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make sure I felt at home. They helped me arrange local activities and transport, and gave great recommendations for places to visit nearby. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces – perfect for watching sunsets or enjoying a quiet morning coffee. The food was fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend De Rain Hostel to anyone looking for a calm, authentic, and affordable place to stay in Uganda. I hope to return one day! Big thanks to the hostel manager – he is very kind and helpful!!!
