Even while it rained, we could sit in our terrace and read. We saw otters and bunnies and little birds flew into our room in the morning and delighted us with a song. What a trully magical place ❤️ The staff was also super friendly and accommodating.

The location is great; small island in lake Bunyonyi, perfect to disconnect for some days from the busy Kampala. There is not much to do around, but that fits perfect if what you are looking for is peace and quiet. The lodge has a private swimming deck to the lake- highly recommended to go for a swim there! And shoutout to the library they have- it made by day when I got there. They also provide with free Black Tea in case you fancy that as companion to the reading, appart from the great views. The profits from the lodge go back to the island communities, so we paid dinner with pleasure.

The accommodation is very clean and the staff are impeccable. Especially Fiona was very smiley and ready to help with anything. Definitely rent a traditional canoe and take a trip to the nearby islands alone or with a group

Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, a resort, is a property situated in Kabale. This resort offers a private beach area and free WiFi. The property provides mountain views and a barbecue. My king room with a lake view was lovely - roomy, and extra bed for luggage placement, shelving in the bathroom. The view was the most serene of our two week Uganda tour. The boat ride to the resort because the road was washed out was an added bonus . The food was very good, too.

It was stunning. We’re so happy we got the room with the balcony because it had such a beautiful view and we really enjoyed staying out there. Everyone there was lovely and helpful- when we got a flat tire, they found someone (affordable) to quickly fix it for us. And the food is incredible! We are vegetarians and we had lunch and dinner (and breakfast the following morning) and it was delicious and so memorable. Make sure to bring a flashlight, it’s dark at night! And you need to be able to walk up and down lots of steps.

The location was excellent, the service was good and the whole property was spotless. Parking area was good. The hotel boats for lake trips were well appointed and staffed. The hotel coped with my special diet without any problem.
