The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

Great location and all the amenities of home. Loved having access to a kitchen and Mychelle was super welcoming and even did our laundry (which was much needed after a week on Oahu first). We had our own bathroom to use and parking was included. It was a great place to set up home base for our stay on the big island.

The host was incredibly kind and attentive from the very beginning, making us feel right at home. Every morning, he prepared delicious breakfasts for us, and the experience was made even more special by the stunning views. We enjoyed our meals surrounded by his beautiful plants, with a view of his cow and the chickens that provided the fresh eggs we ate. It was such a unique and wonderful experience! The place itself is charming, and the host’s hospitality truly made our stay unforgettable. If you’re looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway, this is the perfect choice!

Food allergies got taken serious. Swimming equipment like beach towels, boards or snorkels was provided.
