For me shared sanitary facilities were OK. A good start for either enjoying Staten Island (e.g. Allice Austen House opposite the street, Snug Harbor, Hist. Richmond Town, South Beach, Fort Wadsworth) or Manhattan / other parts of NY - if you are not in a hurry! Public transport round the corner. Really quiet night. ♡ Recommended!

The food at the hotel was good, but if u wanted food outside, there was a whole strip with options. It was nice and peaceful too and the staff was excellent.

The cost is just perfect. 6 colleagues stayed for 3 nights. we did a lot of cooking & enjoyed the stay. beds and linens were super clean and so was the bathroom. The apattment is in basement, but doesn't matter really. There is heater and AC included. 24 hours of hot water. What else can i ask for in a city like NY. Host was super responsive , that was the best part.
