Mary and her family were the kindest and most welcoming hosts we could wish for. Right upon our arrival they offered us tea and refreshments and gave us various tips on what to see in the area.Their homemade dinners and breakfasts (served at a terrace with wonderful views) are huge and simply delicious, absolutely perfect after a whole day spent in the mountains around Haghpat. The room itself is very light and spacious, located in a house in the middle of a rural vegetable garden a few hundred meters from the monastery. In spite of our very poor knowledge of Russian, Mary's parents were always very friendly and open to talk with and fully accommodated all our wishes. We'll be very happy to come again if ever back in Armenia. Thank you! <3

What a nice place, and greatttt food! Such a good feeling to come back after a long day monasteries, to get to a full packed table with all local made food, with great people! We stayed one night at VaLiVa. Gevorg has built a great place, very clean and light with excellent modern facilities. Hot water with good pressure in the shower. Gevorg was very helpful and friendly. He drove is to Haghpats and we hiked back, with a stop at the Sanahin bridge. Breakfast was good. The location was excellent, right near the monastery.

Amazing place to stay. The guesthouse is next to the family home of the hosts. The family is very welcoming, friendly and open to give advice on what to do in the area. English is not a problem. They brought fresh and tasty breakfast to us every morning and there is an optional cooked dinner. Comfy beds, kitchen and seating area. The Migoyan museum and Sanahin monastery are next door and the start to some wonderful hikes are nearby. There is a small shop next door. You can also watch the piglets in the neighbour's barn while drinking your morning coffee.

Perfect location in a historical house just next to the Sanahin Monastery. The hosts are a very friendly family and they make sure their guests feel comfortable and happy. They helped me to arrange taxis to all the monasteries located in the vicinity. The vegetarian breakfast was delicious and very reasonably priced.

What an experience we had at Guesthouse VL! We found our own little paradise in the middle of nature. This September, we were hiking the TCT (Transcaucausian Trail) and we booked our night in Akori. When we arrived, Aren and his wive were waiting for us. They made us tea, coffee accompagnied with cookies and fresh fruits. It was so nice! The dinner and breakfast that we asked for were served with fresh ingredients and with a warm heart. It was the best Armenian food. The rooms were spacious and clean. If you want a good Armenian experience, please go there.

Lovely guesthouse in Sanahin, just around the corner from Sanahin Monastery. Rooms are really clean and comfortable. Host is incredibly sweet and will make you feel right at home. Very peaceful with a lovely yard to enjoy. 10-15 minutes walking to bus #3 that can take you to and from Alaverdi. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the aghasu tun b and b ended up being one of our favorite parts of Armenia. Amalia (sp?) was a lovely host who not only was a great chef but it was very nice to get to know her and share our love of music together. There is a communal area where we got to spend the evening with other guests who were also very lovely and showered us as well with Armenian hospitality. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family. Surrounding area is very beautiful (don't miss Lori fortress). Amalias garden is also really cool!

    Mary's house is charming, surrounded by trees and plants and with a very nice view over the valley. Mary and her family are very welcoming and caring. The dinner she cooked with her mother for us was delicious as well as the breakfast with armenian specialties and everything homemade. She was very helpfull and manage to find us a taxi driver to visit the whole debed valley and monasteries. Thank you a lot Mary :)

    Nice clean spacious room. Generous portions of traditional breakfast and dinner. Wifi available in communal area. Extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable hosts - very helpful not only about their facilities but also on suggesting tourist attractions and advice in the local area. Great location - walkable distance to UNESCO monastery. The property has its own private mini museum of local old artifacts from the last century.

    Basic, but very comfortable and well-equipped guest house with private bathroom and very tasty home-cooked meals. Perfect base to visit Haghpat and enjoy the Debed Valley. Nice terrace with good views and interesting home.
