The woman working there who we saw at breakfast was excellent, really friendly and wanted to ensure we had everything we needed. Also an excellent location - in walking distance from the train station and city centre where the main tourist attractions are. Comfy bed, nice quiet room with flowers and a little balcony. Highly recommend this to anyone choosing to stay in this area.

Hosts Fran en Maarten are super kind and attentive. The location is just a few steps from the central train station and also very well communicated via tran to the historic city center. The food (breakfast and brunch) is delicious. The room is spacious and very well decorated, great king size bed to rest after a day of touring the city!

We loved our stay at the Violet Suites! The host went out of her way to make us comfortable, even tracking down decaf coffee for us. The Violet Suites are super comfy and just gorgeous. So many creative little details that make you want to spend a few extra minutes there in the morning, enjoying your coffee or tea before you leave for the day. The suites are in an excellent location, a short walk to the Ghent city center, or a much shorter walk to the tram that will take you right there. The nearby neighborhood is so charming, we loved everything we did in Ghent. I couldn't recommend Violet Suites more!

Everything was great! Magnificent view, friendly, polite and helpful hostess. You can find everything you need in the room: coffee stuff, bathroom facilities, cups, glasses. The room is warm, clean and cozy. The bed is quite big and the pillows are great. The breakfast was so delicious! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and a decorated room for my partner’s birthday. We’ll definitely return here again. Now it’s our special place in Gent! Many thanks to the whole hotel staff!

Hotel's location is great, about 10 min walk from the train station and 25 min from the historical center. It was pretty quiet, too, in spite of having a room facing a main street, due to decent sound insulation (plus the fact that the tram line passing right in front of the hotel was momentarily out of order). Classic, beautiful building as well. The host, Karl, was great, making everything easy and sharing all the needed information. Breakfast was delicious and rich, no complaints there. The room was spacious and furnished with all the necessary items. The bed was very comfortable, with good pillows and an adequate blanket. There is no doubt about where we are going to stay when visiting Ghent again!

Beautiful interior and exterior, there is something to be seen everywhere you look but it’s not too much. Interior decoration both complements and contrast with the original design and the garden which was impressive in winter would be lovely in summer to sit in. The room was very comfortable, and the en suite uses the space cleverly. We were in the middle of Ghent within an easy 10 minute walk.

    A unique B and B in a great location, 5 minutes from the old city centre. Each room is themed after different cities or cultures and offers very spacious accommodation. If you like a private jacuzzi, ask for the Shanghai room, complete with Moongate and Laughing Buddha. Vincent is a conscientious and caring host with a taste for the exotic and an eye for distinctive quality. Excellent!

    Well-decorated and comfortable room located close to the city centre. The giant bed was a great relaxation moment and the spacious room provided comfort. I did not have breakfast but the common room is cosy and also well-decorated. We could leave our luggage safely and without extra cost. Big windows and, although the room was on the ground floor and facing the street, we had a quiet stay there. Fred was a great host and we felt welcomed
