The host Kurt was a gentleman. I neglected to notify Kurt that I was going to be 2 hours late, and he was very understanding. The room was amazing, new renovated, very luxurious. Private. The silence was delicious. and right in the very centre of the exciting town. Breakfast was lovely. lovely social chat during breakfast Highly recommend.

Amazing Belle Èpoque mansion in a conservation area that is evocative of better times. De Haan must surely be one of the best preserved Golden Age seaside towns in the world, you feel as if you have walked into a French Impressionist painting, such a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of the Belgium coast. Steps away from the action, and on the way to the beach these are whole streets lined with amazing grand mansions. At Masion Rebelais you are greeted with an invitation to sit to enjoy a tea/coffee and homemade cake in the lounge or terrace. The rooms are cute, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is exceptional, service is attentive & nothing is overlooked, you are even invited to return for afternoon tea if you’re still in the area. A stop on the coast not to be missed.

The breakfast was exceptional. Wide selection and so much to eat. I took some pastries with me for my journey. The host was very friendly and super helpful. The whole property is immaculate and gives a feeling of a luxury home from home. I will return.
